Castles are a huge Cultural attraction for the UK and signify a large part of global heritage: the medieval period

A hugely important Cultural Site built between 3000 – 2000 BC

Illustrates the legacy of a culture that left no written records

Purpose of the site: Various theories exist as to why Stonehenge was built including religious purposes by the druids, an early astrological calendar and even an ancient brewery
