• Midhat is the Head of Audit in the Deloitte Qatar Office. Midhat has over 25 years of audit experience in the provision of audit and other professional services to companies in various industries including public sector, real estate, construction, insurance, hospitality and telecommunications.

• Midhat is a USA Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.

• Midhat is heavily involved in providing IFRS seminars to in-house staff and clients, and works with several professional bodies in Qatar in raising awareness on IFRS and related pronouncements.

• Saleem regularly presents at seminars and has authored a number of published articles on technical subject matters.

• Bradley is a Partner with the Doha office, with almost 20 years of experience in providing Audit and Assurance services. He has worked in a number of geographies across the global firm before joining the Middle East Firm in 2007.

• Bradley’s area of expertise is primarily in the Energy & Resources sector, although his experience also covers a diverse range of other industries including telecommunication, hospitality, construction and real estate.

• He has been actively involved in various advisory projects relating to the gap assessment and implementation of the recently introduced IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 9, 15 and 16.

• He is a USA Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from University of Illinois, USA and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

• Ranjith has been involved in providing IFRS seminars to in-house staff and clients across Middle East for the past several years.

• He has worked and led several IFRS implementation projects in recent year and is also a member of the Deloitte Middle East IFRS technical committee.

• Dimitris is a Partner at Deloitte Actuarial Services with over 20 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry.

• Through his experience, Dimitris has developed an in-depth understanding of insurance regulation and insurance financial reporting.

• He holds statutory or advisory roles for insurers, market bodies and regulators in several jurisdictions in Europe and the Middle East.

• He has led numerous IFRS17 implementation projects for life and non-life insurers assisting clients to assess the impact of the new standard and laying down a smooth implementation roadmap.

• He has worked closely with technical teams of clients ensuring that changes brought by IFRS17 in targets or KPI measures are thoroughly understood at each level.

• Dimitris holds a BSc in Actuarial science from the London School of Economics and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (U.K.) and the Cyprus Association of Actuaries.

• Panos is a Director in Deloitte Cyprus where he is leading Deloitte’s Markets Assurance team in the Middle East. He has recently moved from Deloitte London and has over 12 years experience within Deloitte’s Banking & Capital Markets group in both London and New York, working with a range of multinational financial institutions and Central Banks.

• Panos is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and has a Master’s in Mathematics & Finance from Imperial College London in the UK.

• Panos has been aligned with Deloitte’s IBOR reform proposition team since early 2018, has led many of the internal and external communications and has facilitated and presented on LIBOR transition at a range of industry forums across Europe and the Middle East.

Sagun is a seasoned presenter of new and complex accounting standards, having presented IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 in the past years at the Annual IFRS Seminar held in Qatar.

• Sagun has in-depth knowledge of several industries such as real estate, construction, telecommunication, media and technology, construction and oil and gas.

• Samar has immense knowledge of IFRS, including the new standards, and specializes in their application for various industries including banking and financial sector, energy and resources, telecommunication, shipping, utilities and construction in Qatar.

• Samar has led various projects related to accounting advisory, including the implementation of the recent standards, especially IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.

• Samar has also been actively involved in projects related to assessing the overall impact of COVID-19 on various companies and its related impact on their financial accounting and disclosures.

• Ajay is a Chartered Accountant with approximately thirteen years of post-qualification accounting, audit and advisory experience in Qatar, Oman and India. His experience includes audit and other attest engagements in various industries, including but not limited to Banking, Insurance, Funds, Oil & Gas, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Retail and Consumer Products, Constructions, Hospitality and others.

• Ajay has been involved in providing trainings and seminars to client and staff personnel and has extensive training experience within Big 4 including presenting IFRS and transition aspects of the Global Audit Methodology to audit team members.

• Ajay is part of the Deloitte Global Insurance team and has presented IFRS 17 to various audit committees and is currently actively involved with IFRS 17 projects including gap analyses, implementation and transition.

• Michelle has more than 9 years of audit and advisory experience and is currently a Senior Manager at the Deloitte Middle East Qatar Office.

• She is currently leading the Assurance Department in Deloitte Qatar focusing on Complex Accounting Assurance and Internal Controls on Financial Reporting. She is also part of the IFRS Technical Team and Internal Control Leaders Network within Deloitte Middle East.

• Michelle specializes in various industries such as insurance, telecommunication, real estate and holding/investment clients.
