FORTNIGHT FOR FREEDOM 2017/QUINCENA POR LA LIBERDAD 2017 The Diocese of Raleigh invites all to attend a Celebration of Freedom Mass on Thursday, June 29 at 6:30 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2817 Poole Road, Raleigh. A reception and picnic sponsored by the Knights of Co-lumbus will follow the Mass. This event is part of the sixth annual Fortnight for Freedom, a 14-day celebration of our religious freedom from

June 21 to July 4, 2017. The theme this year is “Freedom for Mission” and will celebrate the values of our faith with respect to the gift of life, marriage, conscience rights, and many humanitarian concerns. During the Fortnight, the faithful are encouraged to pray for the intention of preserving and promoting religious freedom and to dedicate any of their regularly scheduled devotions such as Holy Hours or the Holy Rosary to this intention. He greatly appreciates all the meals and the receptions in his honor. _________________________________________________________________________________ ALTAR FLOWERS Parishioners are offered the opportunity to honor or commemorate their loved ones or friends by bringing flowers for the altar, which beautify the Church during celebrations of the Mass. There is a sign up sheet at the entrance of the church for whichever week you wish to bring flowers and for what occasion. Flowers may either be purchased or brought in from your own gardens.
