The best creativity is often about creating experiences and content that your consumers love. Adidas seems to have scored with some video content featuring Leo Messi kitted up in the latest gear – including the new F50 boots – and a few hundred LED lights.

The effect is simple and beautifully presents Messi’s winning skills as he performs some tricks with a ball also fitted with LEDs. It’s a good example of how technology and innovation is used to reveal something creative and artistic in an athlete and product rather than going into digital marketing trickery.

Solving Tomorrow’s Problems TodayX-Men: Days of Future Past

Following the successful lead of blockbuster movie advertising campaigns such as that for The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises; the viral marketing campaign for X-Men: Days of Future Past has begun.

The next instalment in the X-Men franchise will feature an ensemble cast from all 7 movies currently in the franchise.

The movie’s advertising kicked-off around comic-con in San Francisco and has thus far featured movie related campaign posters, viral videos and even a website for the movies main protagonist.

Director Bryan Singer has featured all advertising pieces on the movies own Tumblr page, including behind the scenes production images and tweets: http://x-menmovies.com/

Considering the movie is not due for release until May 2014, it is safe to say the viral marketing will continue up until the movie’s release.

Simple play has been replaced with technology. Imagination has been replaced with batteries. Mobile devices are not toys, that’s why they are called devices. Even though children are increasingly tech savvy, there is no reason why they should be from such an early age.

Kol Kid with DDB launched a new campaign based around the concept “The Joy of Simple Play”. Not only have they released a series of clever online videos, they have also released ‘Play Engine’, an app that provides an endless supply of simple and classic games and activities for playtime.

There are two other spots: Viewmaster where scrolling through a smartphone's photos proves underwhelming and Jack in which a jack-in-box app turns out to be anti-climatic.

It’s Time To Come CleanBebo

Before we began to Tweet, to hangout on Google+, or live our social lives through Facebook; there was Bebo.

The original social network, Bebo was sold by Michael Birch to AOL for $850 million in 2008, and subsequently put out to pasture when Facebook burst onto the social scene.

Now Michael Birch has bought the company back for only $1 million and plans to re-launch the social network.

The aim is to wipe the old Bebo slate clean and start afresh, beginning with this tongue-in-cheek look at the Bebo of old.

But fret not, old Bebo users can still recover their old embarrassing photographs and blog posts by visiting the site at: www.bebo.com
