Disclaimer: Job ranking (in section III – “Working Experience” and in graph “Distribution of job activities”) is descriptive and merely estimated, not accurately measured or calculated by formula. Though I have made an exhaustive attempt to include this assessment both – time consumption and complexity of each job (line of work) I have performed, exhausting all the items from the pool/set of duties and responsibilities I’ve been I did it in retrospect, so the data is not “100% accurate” [but it definitely isn’t arbitrary, either]. Also, it is presumed that every job experience noted here was equally relevant for the improvement of my expertise (which is hardly ever the case in “real life” or, at least, in this part of the world). EESSSSAAYY::
[My essay about personal qualities & self‐assessment (social and business‐wise) and a bit more…]
“To The Unknown Man”/Woman of the HR Department…
Once upon a time, I think, people were more “genuine”, more “of a substance”: it took sincere intentions, hard work with
grains of talent and, finally, fair assessment of some authority in the field – for someone to be recognized and
acknowledged for his/her outstanding work and therefore “granted a token” for professional success…
On the contrary, “authenticity” is, these days, bent like a “Ray of Light” in a presence of supermassive black hole: it swirls
downward to mediocrity… But this mediocrity is even self‐promoted and, furthermore, self‐assessed as authenticity. And
with a little help from ubiquitous ambition and lack of decency – it becomes “authority”. Criteria are set as one sees them
fit (his (or her) own goal). I thank “sa” [almighty Supreme Architect] for interconnected world of photocopied, multi‐
instantiated “personas” [personae], A.I.‐powered Web search engines, over‐utilized copy‐paste functionality (beyond
belief!) and “photoshopped” CVs… [Irony, this is.] Don’t get me wrong: there’s nothing off with TECHNOLOGY, per se;
something’s a bit off with PEOPLE. In my opinion, that is. More simple expression would be: contemporary “authority”
appreciates appearance orders of magnitude more than it values the substance, and it seems – it doesn’t care about
aauutthheennttiicciittyy, either. I don’t argue that combination of all three is not the “ultimate one”; I’m merely pointing to a glitch
that is almost systematic. [P.S. When I said “photoshopped” CVs, I essentially meant it with adv. “factually”, not “aesthetically”.]
On the other hand, self‐reporting personality inventory (list of personality traits and achievements in one’s personal
development) is prone to bias by definition and is also somewhat unbecoming and lame (the way I perceive it). Human
objectivity is, generally, debatable, but that doesn’t mean that ALL HUMANS are equally and uniformly impartial (or “all
humans are equally and uniformly biased”): aside from being one of the “eternal facts of life”, this statement emerges
from the notion that this civilization has not yet achieved “social homogeneity” & “ultimate consciousness”
[“psychological singularity” (!?)]…
That being noted (i.e. my stand on “invoked”, necessary self‐promotion), I declare the following:
first of all – I LOVE, truly and completely, what I do for work: I have always loved computer science, specifically, and
science/technology, in general [regardless of accomplished level of formal education].
I am highly curious by nature, yet well‐mannered; I’m also judgmental, yet tolerant; way more pro‐democrat (liberal), then
pro‐republican (conservative) [maybe I was pro‐republican millennia ago – in Ancient Greece]; I value constructive
criticism (both ways: inbound and outbound); I devote myself to a meaningful goal 101% [yes, 1% ABOVE the realms of
“Real (Cool) World”]; I am perfectionist and idealist (“Is it a Crime?”), yet I am pragmatic, [well, I am pragmatic most of the
time – when I’m not stubbornly pursuing perfection and comprehensiveness].
I always try not to be ambiguous, except when making (decent) jokes on my behalf and on behalf of people that are close
to me. But, most of all, I am honest and fair, and principled, too; systematic & precise, or should I say – precise &
systematic, yet not boring (apparently so). Maybe I am (“slightly”) introverted (reflective and analytical) rather than
extroverted, but I’m communicative, definitely, and I utterly believe in human synergy. I used to be modest, 20 years ago,
but that “attitude” brought me nothing, took me nowhere; so, I quit being modest [what can I say – I’m “quick learner”].
One last thing (confession‐type statement): I use bad language, sometimes; what can I do – I’m not a robot, I’m a human.
[Also, I’m not a phony.] OK: I rarely, I SELDOM swear; hardly ever! I swear! Only when irritated or aggravated above vast,
colossal, gigantic threshold.
Now, all this being laid out here: HHOOWW CCAANN YYOOUU SSAAYY I’m not an IIDDEEAALL ppeerrssoonn for the job you advertiSed/advertiZed!?
So, WWHHAATT DDOO YYOOUU SSAAYY?? Is this – 3.7% simply [I]nsane, – 1.2% plainly [R]ude or – actually 100% boldly [G]enuine?
Respectfully, Igor TASESKI. [[GGOO BBAACCKK TTOO EXECUTIVE SUMMARYEXECUTIVE SUMMARY]] [[JJUUMMPP TTOO TABLE of CONTENTSTABLE of CONTENTS]]
