WtCKLOW^-On 0 « t 14 T. B. Doyle, coroner for West Wlcklow, held an In­quest at Blesaington on tbe body of Patrick Johnston of Ballytora, who died suddenly the previous day. The deceased, who was a farmer, attended Blessingtoa fair to sell pigs and while pulling a cover from over them was noticed to fail backward. Deceased neither moaned nor spoke after failing. Dr. Crinion deposed that on examina­tion of the remains be considered that death was due to heart failure. There were no marks of violence. A verdict in accordance wltb t ie medical testi­mony was returned.

MAYO.—On Oct. 23 a drowning ac­cident occurred at Brondhaven bay •whereby two young men, named Oaf-ferky and Tighe, lost their lives. There •were a number of "curragbs" band line fishing, and one of me frail craft, In which wore five occupants, Including the deceased, got too close to a breaker and was swamped. Three of tbe men, gp»d swimmers, were picked np by fishing craft. The ottier two were caught In the surf and drowned. Caf-ferky's body was recovered die follow­ing day, and an inquest was held by Dr. P. J, McHale, coroner for North Mayo, when a verdict of accidental drowning was returned. .
