Remember!
Visa Procedures Puerto Rico is a self-governing unincorporated territory of the United States located in the northeastern Caribbean Sea, east of the Do-minican Republic and west of the Virgin Islands. Puerto Rico has been under U.S. sovereignty for over a century and Puerto Ricans have been U.S. citizens since 1917. Both Spanish and English are the official lan-guages, the local currency is the U.S. dollar, and no visas or passports are required to enter Puerto Rico from the United States. This means that you have to apply for the visa appointment in the U.S. embassy of your country or the country you are currently in. There’s no Puerto Rican embassy and all these procedures are done through the United States.
About Puerto Rico
For United States citizens or people traveling directly from the
United States:
No passport is required for traveling to the island if you’re coming from the U.S. It’s considered a
domestic flight so you will only need a valid ID.
You need to send the Visa letter to the CC and University and work authotization for the signature of
the CCP. You find the letters templates in ILC wiki: http://www.myaiesec.net/content/viewwiki.do?contentid=10143299

To travel to Puerto Rico like in the US delegates will need to have certain vaccines be-fore arriving. These are the vaccines that are required by the government to be able to travel to Puerto Rico: Ty-phoid, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Diphtheria, Tuberculosis and Rabies. We recommend that you also get: Meningo-
coccal Meningitis, Cholera, Yellow Fever, Japanese B encephalitis and Tick-borne encephalitis as a preventive method. All travelers are ad-vised to ensure that tetanus and polio vaccinations are kept up to date.
* Visit your doctor prior to your trip and verify that your vaccines are up to date. *
