What is esports?

Purposea) Provide to the player, whether casual or competitive, the resources andopportunities to be more involved in the esports scene,b) Study issues of esports significance,c) Involve the Illinois Tech Community in the going-ons of our endeavors,d) Participate in various forms of esports through competing, shoutcasting,streaming, cosplaying and more,e) Instill in each member a sense of camaraderie and appreciation for thegame(s),f) Coordinate home events and – if resources allow – tournaments in order toexpose participants to competitive gaming, develop critical teamwork skills,and help participants make connections beyond the screen.g) Create the foundation of a esports committee to ensure the ongoing,non-sporadic support of all esport endeavors on and off campus.

Organization/Leadership● Each game will be considered a committee that has

their own exec board ● Leadership - The Board. Who are responsible for our

day-to-day operations, logistics of large events, networking, financing, recruitment, sponsorship deals. ○ The board consists of the Director, 2 representatives

from each game, and any professional staff (advisor, coaches, media manager etc)
