Danny the Dragon blew fire everywhereWhich hissed through the other dragons rightthrough their hairBut Danny the Dragon ndash oh he didnrsquot careAnd the other dragons thought it wasnrsquot fair If Danny could blow fire why couldnrsquot they

But try as they might they couldnrsquot find a way

2

No fire whooshed out of their nostrils or theirmouthsSo theyrsquod have to figure another way out Instead of blowing fire why couldnrsquot Danny justburpThose other dragons ndash they had a plan that justmight work

3

When Danny came along burning things awayThose other dragons they plotted to lead himastray To a forest they took him a surprise promisedWhere Danny had a meal he very much relished

4

A meal of mangoes a most delicious fruitTasty to humans but to dragons ndash a bruteAll of it gone not a single bit leftThe mango juice had done what it did best

5

Danny could no longer blow fire and burn thingsHis fire was gone his best things were now wings

6

Danny the Dragon cried sadlyldquoWhy did they do this to merdquoNow all he could do was burp all dayWith everyone else laughing away

7

He flew over and sat in a field of red grassldquoWhy are you so sadrdquo a voice askedA head popped up it was the Chilly MonsterAnd Danny realized he had been sitting on Chillyrsquosfur

8

ldquoThose other dragons stole my firerdquo Danny saidldquoOh nordquo said Chilly Monster shaking his headldquoThatrsquos not nice of them why did they do thatrdquoDanny replied ldquoI burnt their fur and hatsrdquo

9

ldquoI really want my fire backrdquo Danny saidldquoEat some chillies ones that are redrdquoThe monster smiled picking out someAnd Danny ate them still quite glum

10

Suddenly his throat fired up to red-hotThe fire was back Danny felt better A lotDanny blew the Chilly Monster a fiery thanks andflew offFor no longer did he burp or cough

11

So the other dragons couldnrsquot tease himHe had the fire Once again he was King
