RE/MAX equity group is excited to announce that we were once again named one of the top three large workplaces in the Portland Metro/SW Washington area for 2014.

The survey is conducted by the Oregonian and consulting and data-gathering firm WorkplaceDynamics LLP. They survey employees of organizations to discover the happiest workers in Oregon and SW Washington.

We are pleased to announce that we recently promoted three people to leadership positions within the company to better position the company for growth. Jeff Davis, the company’s General Counsel, has been promoted to Vice President of Administration while Alan Mehrwein, Lake Oswego branch manager and principal broker, is now Vice President of Brokerage Management. Laurie Thiel, a broker in the Lake Oswego office, joined the company’s leadership team as sales manager of the Lake Oswego office. As VP of Administration, Jeff will be responsible for day to day operations including Accounting, Closing, and Information Technologies. Prior to joining RE/MAX equity group in 2010, Jeff worked nearly 14 years as an attorney with Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt where he represented clients in all aspects of real estate transactions. He is a member of the Real Estate & Land Use Section of the Oregon State Bar and a contributing author to the Oregon Real Estate Deskbook. He received his law degree in 1995 from the University of Oregon School of Law and graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Business Management in 1988. He will continue to serve as

the company’s General Counsel. Alan is now primarily responsible for management of the

branch offices and spearheading recruiting and retention of top agents. Licensed since 1982 in California and 1990 in Oregon, he has worked for RE/MAX equity group since 1998. He is a longstanding member and past President of the Oregon Association of Realtors, a past President and Realtor of the Year of the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors, and 2012 Oregon Realtor of the Year. He has also served on the RMLS Board of Directors. Laurie began her real estate career in 1993 at our Lake Oswego office. She is a member of the RE/MAX Hall

of Fame and has earned numerous productivity awards including RE/MAX equity group’s Top 10% and the RE/MAX

100% Club. Thiel has been leading an accountability group of other agents and will now be bringing her leadership skills to the entire office.
