INTERNAL MEMO From : MD/CEO To : EMMANUEL ESSIET Subject : SUSPENSION NOTICE Date : January 11, 2013 A review of the activities of your office shows a high level of indiscipline which has seriously affected your ability to carry out your assignments effectively. There is strong evidence of your collusion with staff to defraud the organization; while other emerging reports are still being investigated; at present we have the case of you and the driver(John) of the waste management division of the company – which you have duly confessed to. Bearing in mind your audit function, this complicity on your part is not only a serious offence but is unacceptable. Equally worrisome are the allegations of sexual harassment leveled against you which is still being investigated. This kind of behavior would not be tolerated in this organization. A thorough investigation has been scheduled for the activities of your office and effective immediately you are placed on indefinite suspension without pay pending the outcome of the investigation. During the suspension period, you will not have access to your normal workplace and/or any of the Pepperoni offices except when invited for a disciplinary hearing; nor shall you contact any of the company’s employees, suppliers or customers for official business without consent from the company. You must immediately prepare a detailed handover and submit all company property in your care to the Manager at your resident office with a copy to the Human Resources Department. Thank you
