Effective Screen Width

• In IMAX theatres, a larger effective screen width is achieved by bringing the screen closer to the audience.

• IMAX's customized, patented theatre geometry provides an immersive experience equal to 20 to 230% increased screen area.

Projectors:Christie 2200 (Solaria) Series

• IMAX digital currently uses two 2K-resolution Christie projectors with Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing technology alongside parts of IMAX's proprietary technologies.

• The two 2K images are projected over each other, producing an image that is potentially brighter 2K digital cinema.

• The CP2220 and 2230 were designed from the start to be fully upgradable to 4K technology.
