GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS1. Intending Exhibitors are particularly requested to peruse the rules carefully, and not to enter for exhibition unless they are prepared to comply with the Regulations.
ENTRY FORMS2. The necessary printed Forms for the Entry of Stock, etc., will be supplied on application to The Secretary, Limerick Show Society, Greenmount Park, Patrickswell, Co. Limerick. No entry will be accepted unless it is made on the regular printed Form. N.B. Applicants for Forms are particularly requested to state the number of forms they require, and in which Sections they desire to enter.
LODGING ENTRIES3. All certificates of entry correctly completed and signed by the exhibitor or his agent must be lodged with the Secretary, Limerick Show Society, Greenmount Park, Patrickswell, Co. Limerick together with the amount of entry fees. Cheques, Bank Drafts or Postal Orders to be made payable to Limerick Show Society. NO ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS IT IS ACCOMPANIED BY THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE FEES.
ENTRY CLOSING DATES4. The attention of Exhibitors is drawn to the closing dates for entries which appear at the bottom of each page. No late entries can be accepted, except in the Horticulture & Craft Sections.5. An animal cannot be entered in more than one class, except as otherwise provided. No animal or other exhibit shall be shown otherwise than in its proper Class in the Show. Any animal or exhibit entered in a wrong Class may be ejected from Competition.

All Cups awarded at the 2016 Show must be returned to the Limerick Show Office at LIMERICK RACECOURSE, PATRICKSWELL, before Friday 21st July. Unless Cups and Trophies are returned in the condition in which they were received, the recipient’s as signed will be liable for the damage (or other costs) incurred by the Show Society in restoring Trophies to the condition in which they were presented.

4. Please note all exhibits must be delivered to the Craft Exhibition area of the Show between 12 noon and 4 p.m. on Saturday 26th August.
The Craft Exhibition Area will close at 5.00 p.m. to prepare for Judging.
5. All Home Baking Entries must be exhibited on disposable plates.6. Classes with only one entry may be cancelled. No prize may be awarded in any particular Class if standard not sufficiently high. In all Classes, the Judges decisions are final7. Trophies will be presented in the Craft Exhibition Area on Sunday at 3pm. Prize monies will be paid out after 5pm.8. No exhibits can be removed from the Exhibition Area before 5.00 pm. Any exhibits

LIMERICK SHOW HORTICULTURAL PRODUCE SECTION 2017
REGULATIONS FOR HORTICULTURE SECTION1. All plants, flowers etc. brought to the place of exhibition in dirty pots or
Boxes, or in any way that may appear to the Committee to be discreditable to the Show, shall at once be removed from the Hall.
2. No person shall be allowed to remain with the Judges, with the exception of Chairperson, Secretary and Stewards, who must not be exhibitors in the classes for which they are acting as Stewards.
3. No plants, flowers, fruits or vegetables shall be taken off the tables or stands before the close of the Show. No exhibit, or part of, may be removed before the close of the Show.
4. Any person touching or otherwise interfering with the plants, flowers, fruits or vegetables after they have been staged, with out permission from the Committee, shall be instantly removed from the place of exhibition.
5. Appeals must be lodged with the Secretary before 2.00 p.m. on the day of the Show, together with the sum of €10 which shall be refunded if the complaint is upheld.
6. Judging will be in accordance with the revised rules of the Royal Horticultural Society, except Dahlias which will be judged according to Rules of the National Dahlia Society, and the Decorative Classes which will judged in accordance with the N.A.F.A.S. rules, 3rd Edition 2015.
STAGING AND REMOVAL OF EXHIBITSExhibitors number cards will be available in the Horticulture Area (Ground Floor of Grandstand) on Saturday 26th. Exhibitors must collect them there personally and have Pass. Intending Exhibitors will have been informed beforehand of any classes that have been cancelled. Exhibitors must collect their exhibits between 5.30 and 6.30 p.m. on Sunday 27th August.
At 5.30 p.m. on Sunday all visitors and competitors must vacate the Horticulture Area leaving the exhibits intact. When the Area is empty, exhibitors will be re-admitted only with a Pass and may then remove their exhibits.
All exhibits to be removed by 6.30 p.m. and no responsibility will be taken for anything left after that time.
PHOTOGRAPHS OF PRIZE WINNERS WILL TAKE PLACE at 4.30 P.M.AND DRAW WILL TAKE PLACE at 5 P.M.
EXHIBITION RULES1. All exhibits must be staged on the day preceding the show. No exhibit will be
accepted on the day of the show with the exception of class 188. (SEE BELOW).2. Any prize may, at the discretion of the Judges, be withheld or modified if in their
opinion the exhibit is not deserving of the prize offered. A class may be cancelled unless there are at least three entries.
3. No cup will be awarded in any class unless a first prize is awarded4. Exhibitors must stage their exhibits in the places appointed by the Show.

5. The Committee will not be in any way responsible for loss or damage done to exhibits, stands, vases, etc. during or after the Show.
6. Prize winners must collect their Prize Money between 2.00 – 6 p.m. on Sunday 27th in the Horticulture area.
7. AN EXHIBITOR WITH MORE THAN 10 ENTRIES WILL GET A COMPLIMENTARYPASS FOR THE SHOW.
