Father Andrew Cushieri AwardIn 1987, Fr. Cuschieri, a professor at St. Augustine’s Seminary, gave ten thousand dollars($10,000) to our diocese and requested that the yearly interest accumulated would be awarded to a young person between the ages of seven(7) and eighteen(18). The young person nominated must have been a student for at least part of the previous twelve month period in a primary, elementary, or high school within the Diocese of Grand Falls. This young person must have accomplished a humanitarian act towards another human being. The guidelines, nomination sheets, and information on the award are available at you parish office.
