Dear Friends,

This Directory of Gainesville and Alachua County organizations concerned with Immigrant justice is the first edition of a directory of local civic and other private organizations concerned with social justice. The Directory is a project of Welcoming Gainesville and Alachua County (WGAC). I want to thank Grace Chun, WGAC Program Coordinator, who researched and compiled the Directory. The Directory is purposed to make the Gainesville Community and surrounding areas aware of the range of local organizations concerned with immigrant humanitarian and justice issues affecting all of our communities. We hope very much that the Directory will be used, as well, as a catalyst for cooperative community action to address these concerns together in ways that increase each organization’s overall impact. Please take this Directory home with you and share with others in our community and especially let the Welcoming Gainesville Board know if there are other organizations that we have missed and need to be included in future editions. Peace and Justice, Richard Macmaster President, Welcoming Gainesville & Alachua Co.
