Imogen’s Daughters – Chapter 1

Imogen’s story was one not too commonly heard by man, woman or child when spotted the term “legacy founder” on a page. Imogen’s life

had begun at the end of the “apocalypse” (which the surviving members of the Sanderson family now know was merely an

earthquake mistaking by the people of Beauville as the end of the world) giving her the full comforts that her ancestors could not enjoy.

During her last year at K. R. Sanderson Secondary School, Imogen managed to apply to La Fiesta Tech, a school in the capital city of New

Arden, Strangetown.

It was strange for Imogen; she was living in a new place, one that her family had never even known existed. No one she knew from her

home town was there to support her. She was on her own for now.

Page 2: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Imogen stepped into her dorm room and logged on to her student account. She had merely a week until the add/drop period was over, so she had to pick her courses fast. On the first day, she realized that ASTRON 1F03 – Introduction to Astronomy and Astrophysics as well as her other science courses did not suit a family sim like her to a cue. As the glare of the screen made the tasking of reading the course listing too difficult, Imogen spotted one clear word on the sidebar: Physical

Arts.

Imogen snickered to herself, “I never thought mom’s complimentary dance lessons would have ever come in handy.”

Page 3: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

As her first week of Freshman year went by, Imogen found out the hard way that dorm life would introduce her to many… different characters.

“Hi, I’m Imogen Sanderson.”

“Sanderson, you say? Are you one of those nut jobs who think that they survived the apocalypse?” the red headed man replied to her.

“What the hell is your problem?” she swore back, “So maybe the apocalypse didn’t happen, but at least my family had fun and knows

how to survive if it did one day happen.”

“Oh, so you’re one of those crazies who think that 2012 is the end of the world, huh?”

Page 4: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Wait, what?” Imogen asked in utter confusion, “I never mentioned anything about 2012 and, as a matter of fact, I’m starting to think that

you’re a bit crazy.”

The young red-headed man looked vaguely at Imogen and simply nodded.

“So, are you crazy then, buddy?”

The red-headed boy began to grin.

“What??”

Page 5: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Do you want to go on a date?” he asked calmly.

Imogen was stunned, “You accused me of being crazy and now you want to go on a date with me?!”

“Well, that was just a test to see if you could hold an interesting conversation with me,” he was still smiling at her.

“I don’t even know you’re name!”

“It’s Nolan; Nolan Haggerty.”

“Well, Nolan, I hope you realize that not all girls are into jerks.”

“I know that, so will you date me?”

“You just can’t take a hint, can you?”

Page 6: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Imogen spent the next few weeks alone playing chess to bide her time. She couldn’t help but think and laugh at her conversation with Nolan. Although the guy seemed a little off by her standards, she found his

way of asking her out to be at least a tad on the cute side.

Page 7: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

By early November, Imogen and the rest of LFT were preparing for their mid-terms. Imogen had decided that, despite how important studying may have seemed, she needed a chance to talk to Nolan.

“Hey, Nolan, do you remember me?” she asked timidly, “If you want, I’ll talk to you later so you can finish studying from… uh…”

“Philosophy; specifically this is one of Descartes mediations on metaphysics,” Nolan paused waiting for a response from Imogen, “So,

what’s up?”

“I want to see if your offer for a date is still in existence?”

“Does anything really exist?”

“Cute.”

Page 8: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Nolan stood up from his seat and walked into the common room. Imogen followed.

“Hey, Nolan, it’s rude to walk away from people!” Imogen shouted after him.

“Calm down, I’m just putting away that stuffy book. Honestly, I memorized Descartes over a month ago.”

“Oh…” Imogen blushed.

“And yes, we can still go on a date… if you want.”

“I’d like that, Nolan.”

“Once mid-terms are over, I’ll take you out to Starbucks for some coffee; it’ll be a nice break from class.”

Page 9: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Imogen gave Nolan an odd look, “Starbucks?”

“Okay, so maybe it’s too corporate for a Philosophy major, but it boosts my ego knowing I can afford it.”

“No, I mean I’ve never heard of Starbucks.”

Page 10: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Really?” Nolan asked.

“Well, it so happens that I wasn’t raised in your civilized society.”

“Riiight…”

Two years later, life was very different for Imogen Sanderson and Nolan Haggerty. After her first year, Imogen was invited to join the Tri-

Fruhm Sorority while the Oresha-Hoh-Fuhr boys accepted Nolan as a pledge. On their two year anniversary, Nolan decided to throw a toga

party in his sweetheart’s honor.

Page 12: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Hey Immi, like the party?” Nolan asked coyly.

“This was really sweet of you, Nolan.”

Page 13: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“So, baby, if you think it was so sweet, why didn’t you wear a toga?”

“I felt that I’d be taking it off later.”

Nolan cleared his throat, “Wait, what?”

“Nolan, we’ve been together for two years already; don’t you think it’s time to do the ‘hoo?”

“I-I…”

Nolan sprinted out of the house on to the sidewalk.

Page 14: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Outside, Nolan was greeted by his fellow frat brother, Guy Wrightley.

“Dude, you look really freakin’ pale. I mean, paler than usual. What’s up?”

“It-it’s Imogen… sh-she wants to…”

“Woohoo?”

“How did you know?”

“Considering you two have been together for two years and we haven’t seen a sock on your door, it was really obvious, man.”

Page 15: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“That-that isn’t nice of you.”

“Calm down, kiddo; you can still get her in the sack as long as you just play it cool.”

Nolan scowled, “You are such an asshole, Guy.”

“Whatever.”

***

Page 16: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

An hour later into the party, Nolan was nowhere to be seen. Guy felt it was his duty to keep Imogen company until it was time for her to go

home.

“I can’t believe my boyfriend is such a… such a-“

“He-bitch?”

“Thank you!”

Page 17: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Imogen’s temper flared, “He just is so immature. Did I ever tell you about how he first asked me out? I can’t believe I thought his being an

asshole was ‘cute’!”

“Look, just give him time; I’m sure he’ll be ready in no time, bra.”

Page 18: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

The next morning, Nolan showed up at the frat house still sporting his toga. Guy, who was on his way to his French Literature class, spotted

him along the way.

“That was a dick move you pulled on your girlfriend, Nolan,” Guy spat at his frat brother, “You cannot believe how pissed off she is at you

right now.”

“I’m sorry; I just needed to think for a bit.”

“Don’t apologize to me, bra; apologize to your girlfriend.”

A few weeks later, once mid-terms were over, Imogen found herself calling the fraternity telling them about the party she was throwing.

“Do you want he who must not be named to come to?” Guy’s deep voice echoed from out of the phone.

Imogen sighed, “I guess he can come too.”

Page 20: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Once Imogen had hung up, she headed straight for the keg cleverly disguised as a pineapple.

“But he better have a good excuse for why he ditched me.”

Page 21: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Once the party had started, Nolan greeted Imogen in the same toga he had worn weeks earlier.

“Immi, I am so sorry about what happened at the toga party,” he pleaded.

“So I assume that the toga is supposed to help us recreate the scene of the crime so you can fix it.”

Nolan nodded, “I’m ready, Immi.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

Page 22: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 23: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

It was strange; it wasn’t until they fought that Imogen and Nolan had become even closer as a couple… if you call that a fight. On that day, Nolan looked so proud that he had lost his virginity to the girl that he

loved madly.

Skip ahead another year and a half; it is now the end of the University education for several of the LFT students, including Imogen and Nolan.

“So DJ, where are you going after you leave this place?”

“Belladonna Cove to move back with my parents.”

“Where?”

DJ Verse sighed, “I forgot that you don’t know much about the geography of your own country.”

Page 25: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

DJ cleared her throat, “Okay, take the highway through Strangetown until you’ve crossed the border into Sim State past Mesa Falls. Then,

you need to head west into Twinbrook, the capital of Alegria, and continue that route until you reach the coast where Belladonna Cove is

located.”

Imogen laughed, “How about you take me there and I can crash with your folks until I find my own place.”

Page 26: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“I can drive you to Belladonna Cove but you aren’t living with my parents,” DJ scowled.

“Oh come on, sisterhood and all that crap.”

“No.”

“You’re such a bitch, DJ.”

Page 27: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Of course I am, that’s why I’m the Queen Bitch of Tri-Fruhm.”

By the time May rolled around, Imogen had started her new life in Belladonna Cove. With all her money spent on the necessities, she had

no way of hiring someone to construct a house on her land… yet.

Imogen found herself to be lucky that she wasn’t allowed to crash with the Verse family; her experience in the car with them involved a lot of

screaming fits between the Mr. and Mrs.

Page 29: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Despite all the hardship she was going to have to face, she still had one thing going for her…

…it’s Nolan. Was it not obvious?

Page 30: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Immi, it would be perfectly okay by me if I moved in so you don’t have to raise our kids alone.”

“Nolan, I have to do this by myself. I don’t know why, but I think it would be for the best if I just raised them alone. If you get worried,

you can still visit and babysit when you have some time.”

“Alright then…”

Page 31: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

As the two lovebirds slept in broad daylight, their snores were interrupted by a catchy lullaby.

“Did you hear that, Immi?”

“Yeah; we’re going to be parents.”

Page 32: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 33: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Page 35: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Within the first three months before her pregnancy would show, life continued as it would normally. Imogen found a job in the dance

career teaching young sims the art of ballet, which helped her build the first bits of her house while angry animals and neighbours greeted

her at every turn.

Yes, completely normal.

Page 36: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 37: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 38: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Because of her refusal to be supported by her partner, Nolan, Imogen spent the majority of her pregnancy working to continue constructing a

house for her children and future grandchildren.

Page 39: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Note that the former did not have the word future in front of it.

Page 40: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

With a spin and a whirl, out came Imogen’s baby girl. Rachel Sanderson looked like a mix between her parents; her father’s skin and eyes with the blonde hair of her mother. 5/9/2/3/7 would be a simple

way to describe how she would act throughout life.

Page 41: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 42: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 43: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Sleep, poop, eat. Sleep, poop, eat. That was the schedule that little Rachel took during her infancy. It was so simple that even Imogen

began to adopt it into her own life. That is, until she felt it necessary to go back to earning money. By her first year of life, Rachel had her own

personal nanny who she, on one occasion, had dubbed “Nana”.

Page 44: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Rachel progressed quickly through her toddler milestone of walking, talking and understanding the mechanics of the all-mighty potty.

“Mama,” Rachel asked one evening before Imogen could sing a lullaby, “where’s daddy?”

Imogen was taken aback. “Sweetie, the thing is…” Imogen trailed off as she spoke, “I felt it was a good idea to raise you on your own.

Daddy will come and visit one day; I promise.”

Page 45: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Daddy didn’t come to my birthday, mama; daddy must not like me,” Rachel pouted and began examining her fingers.

“Daddy’s just busy, that’s all.”

“Daddy doesn’t love me, mama.”

***

Page 46: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Nolan, I am so glad you decided to come; we need to talk about Rachel.”

It had been a few days since Rachel Sanderson had declared that her father did not love her due to his absence. Imogen immediately called

Nolan Haggerty so Rachel could finally feel loved.

“That’s such a pretty name for our little girl,” Nolan grinned.

Page 47: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Nolan stepped into the nursery and looked down at a small blond girl walking around his feet, “You must be Rachel,” he said.

“Who you?”

“I’m your daddy.”

Page 48: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Rachel’s face flushed, “GO AWAY!”

“B-but, I-“

“I NO WANNA SEE YOU! YOU NOT LOVE ME!”

“Honey, you have to understand that-“

“MOOOOOOMMMMMMYYYY!” Rachel was screaming by that point.

It was no use; Rachel officially hated her father.

Page 49: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 50: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Nolan stayed over at the Sanderson house until Rachel’s fifth birthday. No matter what he tried, Rachel wouldn’t attempt to let him into her

life.

“Happy birthday, honey!” Nolan shouted at his young daughter.

Rachel tugged on Imogen’s coat and whispered, “Mommy, make daddy leave…”

Page 51: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

By that point in time, Imogen had saved enough money to afford an extension to the house and new clothing for both herself and Rachel.

Page 52: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 53: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 54: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Once Nolan’s stay was up, the next nine months managed to fly by thanks to a little gift he had left the family. Once Imogen realized she was pregnant with her second child, she decided that she had done enough work on the house to make it livable. Rachel knew that the

pregnancy would cause stress for her mother, so she put in extra effort at school and managed to receive a B+ average.

Once the pregnancy was over, a new girl was in the house. Little Kamilah Sanderson, a red-head with gray eyes and dark skin, was the

newest member of the family.

Page 55: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 56: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

During Kamilah’s infancy, Rachel kept to herself and began a rigorous study pattern. To her, as long as she was out of the way, she was

helping.

Kamilah grew up into toddlerhood and made her personality known. 5/9/7/3/4 made her more athletic yet meaner than her older sister.

Page 57: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Kamilah, can you please say something?” Imogen pleaded with her youngest, “even if it is just one little word.”

Kamilah shook her head.

“What if I get you a lollipop?”

“Okay.”

Page 58: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Kamilah, you said something!”

Kamilah squirmed in her place, “Mama, I want lolly; you promised lolly!”

“I guess I did, huh.”

Kamilah nodded in agreement.

Page 59: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Mind you, Imogen did not spend all of her time with Kamilah; she still managed to keep up with Rachel as much as she could.

“Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!” Kamilah cried from the nursery.

“Mom, I think you should see what’s up with her.”

Imogen sighed, “You’re such a considerate girl, Rachel.”

Page 60: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

“Now my littlest nooboo, what seems to be the problem?”

“Mama, I can walk now!” Kamilah shouted in excitement.

“Maybe you can dance with mama now like Rachel does.”

Kamilah shook her head angrily, “No dance, no dance!”

Page 61: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 62: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 63: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Both Rachel and Kamilah managed to grow up so quickly. It seemed like only yesterday Rachel was just an eating, sleeping poop machine

while Kamilah was not even here.

Rachel rolled Pleasure with the LTW of being an Icon. She’s attracted to glasses and logic while she despises jewelry.

Page 64: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Both managed to have a wonderful party thrown by their mother. Greek status sure does help our sims.

Page 65: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1
Page 66: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

The next seven years flew by like a breeze. Imogen received promotion after promotion, Rachel got by in high school and Kamilah

became a teenager with an interest in fishing.

Kamilah rolled Family and wants to graduate 3 kids from college.

Page 67: Imogen's Daughters - Chapter 1

Kamilah, based on a 5-4 vote, was also declared the heiress of generation two. Thanks to everyone at Boolprop for helping choose

her, I am excited for her to give birth to generation three.

Till then, see ya. I need to get to a sink fast because my eyes are itching like crazy due to allergies. It kills. See ya!
