OF SLAVES, WHICH COULD BE

SOLD.

*WEALTHY COUNTRIES WERE

IN SEARCH OF NATURAL

RESOURCES, WHICH AFRICA

HAD!

Thanks to steamships ,railways,

quinine, machine guns and

undersea telegraph cables they

could take over Africa! They had

huge armies and lots of weapons,

while Africans did not own

anything of that kind!
