SURGICAL PROTOCOLExpose the crest of the bone through incision of soft tissue with a punch or small flap, according to anatomical characteristics.

• Begin with a 1.50 or 2.00mm-diameter spade drill through the cortical bone and then some millimeters into the medullary tissue. Confirm previous diagnosis on bone density.

• Proceed with the usual sequence increasing gradually the drill diam-eters, according to the following table, until the indicated diameters are reached for each case. The diameter of the drills used also varies according to bone density asper the information on the table shown.

• Drills must reach a depth corresponding to the measures shown in the following table.

• According to this, the turns and the apical segment of the implant are inserted into intact bone, ensuring”immobilization, fixation, and primary stability”.

• After socket is finished, place the implant on the surgical socket, using the manual driver or mount driver suitable for each platform

• Thread by hand or using the implant mount driver with a maximum torque of 30 cN on IH Active platform 3.0 and 60cN on the other platforms. The mount driver must be operated at low RPM.

• Once the implant placement is finished, the necessary attachment is placed according to the type of reconstruction, healing abutment or “cover screw”.

• Approximate osseointegration times: two months for the jaw and three months for the maxilla.

IH Active™ Main characteristicsTapered self-advancing implant designed to protect cortical bone, with bone level insertion. With a conical internal hexagon tapered connection that renders a complete sealing between the implant and the prosthesis. Thanks to the switching platform design, an optimal emergence profile shaping of gingival tissue is possible. Tapered connection morphology makes it easier to reduce microbial infiltration. Versatility is an essential characteristic of IH Active implant; it is also available at reduced diameter for compromised clinical situations.

Supplied in a double container that preserves sterility and facilitates handling. Includes cover screw. The implant is divided into three segments:

• Intraosseous segment (a) The diameter of the non-traumatic tip gradually narrows,ending in a semi-sharp end for easy insertion of the implant.
