Assessment Forecast – All Subjects
Some assessment will be computerized Individual student growth will be
measureable. Results immediately within 48 hours to
educators. Infrastructure concerns need to be
addressed.

ELA 3-10 ASSESSMENT FORECAST
More emphasis on: Writing
Range of writing to echo the standards Mechanics & conventions included in writing score
Informational reading Authentic science, social studies & arts articles &
documents Emphasis on textual evidence (proving statements) Students will need to interact with rich, dense
vocabulary

Each grade level will receive an authentic project to engage in over time
Students will read provided texts & then take a position based on evidence
They will create a digital presentation
Presentations will be scored locally on a provided rubric.
Presentation Skills Will Also Be Assessed

MATH Assessment ForecastMore emphasis on practice standards
Reasoning, problem-solving, modeling Applying mathematical thought to real-life
problems Showing mathematical thinking
No calculator use allowed for grades 6 & below
Specific math vocabulary will be embedded in questions No more matching for vocabulary terms
Instead, students will use them to figure out word problems
