861 Receiving Advice/Acceptance Certificate

Functional Group ID=RC

Introduction:

This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Receiving Advice/Acceptance Certificate Transaction Set (861) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. The transaction set can be used to provide for customary and established business and industry practice relative to the notification of receipt or formal acceptance of goods and services.

Notes:

This transaction is a required transaction to be sent from the supplier informing FCA's Global Core System of the receipt of cores to be remanufactured and associated dispositions. This transaction will serve to update the inventory levels of remanufactured parts at the Quality Inspection Center (QIC) and supplier locations.

The following dispositions should be transmitted to The Global Core Return System:1) Wrong Part Accepted: The dealer sent the wrong part but the supplier accepted it. The Global Core Return System will make adjustments to inventory and will chargeback the dealer the difference in core values.2) Core Buy: Based upon a released purchase order from FCA, the supplier will be authorized to purchase cores on the open market. Supplier core inventory will be incremented. The core buy serves to inform the Global Core Return System of this transaction.3) Core Fallout: The supplier should use the 'fallout' inventory adjustment transaction status code to inform the Global Core Return System of the quantity of core inventory that needs to be decremented due to 'core fallout' in the remanufacturing process. 4) Core Sell: Based upon authorization from FCA, the supplier may sell cores on the open market. The supplier's core inventory will be decremented. The core sell transaction serves to inform the Global Core Return System of this activity.5) Missing part: The supplier informs the Global Core Return System that they have a barcoded control ticket but NO corresponding part number was received. Supplier inventory will be decremented. The control ticket will be flagged as an exception and will be on a report.6) Partial Chargeback: This denotes a partial chargeback of 50% due to damage or missing components on the core received. Supplier core inventory will be decremented by one (1) unit. A chargeback to the dealer is initiated.7) Wrong Part Received/Returned: The supplier received the wrong core, is not accepting it and is returning it to the dealer, at the dealer's expense. The supplier core inventory will be decremented.8) Scrap: Used to denote that cores have been authorized as scrap.The supplier's inventory will be decremented.9) Full Chargeback: The supplier issues a full chargeback for the value of the core. The supplier's inventory is decremented and the dealer is charged back for 100% value of the core is initiated.
