• There are over 300 varieties of the fruit in Myanmar.

• The Sein Ta Lone is famous as the best mango in Myanmar

because of its delightful aroma, sweetness, juiciness and non-

fibrous nature.

• The Sein Ta Lone is growing prominently in central and tropical

region of Myanmar(especially in Kyaukse).

• Also, the Yin Kwe (Broken Heart) Shwe Hintha (golden

brahmin duck) are unique to Myanmar and of prime export.

Why Mango ?

• As genetic erosion of landraces diversity is increasing, evaluation

has become a necessity for on farm and ex situ conservation, at least

for most important types.

• As market expands to international level and easy & free trade are

leading to the bio-prospection, it’s considered to control genetic

introgression to indigenous Mangoes.

• Sein Ta Lone becomes famous and attractive to the global economy.

It is critical to prevent from bio-piracy.
