SAP AppHaus Concept

The AppHaus concept is inspired by the Bauhaus movement, which stands for the fact that different disciplines work together in one building.

Inspired by the principle of "form follows function", which is the basis for the modern design processes.

The three core components of the AppHaus:

• People: team members with expertise from different disciplines and the passion & mindset to work as one inter-disciplinary team.

• Process: agile, scrum-based and highly-iterative, based on Design Thinking.

• Space: flexible furniture and creative materials that encourages collaboration and boosts inspiration

What means co-innovation?

Innovation to us always means co-innovation. “Co” for collaborating closely with our customers.

The four meeting rooms were decorated and named to represent certain principles embodied by the design work that takes place inside the building.

The green and Victorian styled Sherlock Holmes room stands for the deep research and ingenious analysis that leads the inquisitive and curious designer to the right answers about its users.

The Lego room stands for the playfulness and tangibility required to generate and assess solutions in an iterative process.

The room of 1001 Arabian Nights, decorated in an oriental style, inspires the transformative act of storytelling and imagination, in which ideas get untangled as they are shared in a simple way with others.
