is to create it’ABRAHAM L INCOLN

Have you tried using our new

inGENEious reports?

Increase the profitability of your herd :• Breed replacements from your best heifers

• Fast track your genetics using more reliable information

• Evaluate potential, enhance selection process and so make more informed breeding decisions

• Access results for production, health, fertility, conformation and associated gPLI and gTPI* indexes

• Option to screen for known genetic recessives

Would you employ staff without interviewing them or asking to see their CV? So why would you allow a heifer to join your herd without looking at her true potential first? Using GeneTracker to ‘interview’ and screen your heifers and young cows will:

• Identify those likely to be ‘expensive passengers’ and so avoid their rearing costs• Assure more informed breeding decisions• Allow you to see the effect of more reliable information to ensure accurate, interactive interrogation of each animal using NMR’s inGENEious reports• Give you access to production, health, fertility, conformation and associated gPLI and gTPI* indexes, via NMR iReports in Herd Companion• Give you the option to screen for known genetic recessives• Give you the option to test for BVD*

Benefits to the farmer

GeneTracker can be used to test animals from six breeds; Holstein, British Friesian, Guernsey, Jersey, Ayrshire and Brown Swiss.

The quality of the GeneTracker system is consistent. The simple process allows for the sampling of a tiny ear notch or hair sample from any age of animal.

This is then sent back in a pre-labelled package which is uniquely allocated to each animal, and sent off for testing. Sample submission and GeneTracker publication dates can be found on: www.nmr.co.uk/breeding/genomics
