Improving Outcomes for Rural Native Foster Youth
Tribal STAR (Successful Transitions fo Adult Readiness) provides interdisciplinary training for providerswho work with rural Native foster youth. We invite social workers, Tribal Indian Child Welfareworkers, educators, Independent Living workers, probation officers, case managers, CourtAppointed Special Advocates (CASAs), group home staff, foster parents, community-basedagency staff, and Tribal youth service providers. Topic areas covered in the training include:
Tribal values & culture, collaboration, youth development philosophy, assessment, addressing theneeds of Native American foster youth.
