Me llamo Eugenia Burton y soy Vice Directora de Currículo e Instrucción en la Escuela Intermedia de Immokalee. Me mudé a Immokalee a los cinco años de edad y estuve en la escuela desde el jardín de niños hasta el grado 12. Me gradué de la Escuela Superior de Immokalee en 1982 y de la Universidad del Sur de la Florida en 1986. Este es mi trigésimo año trabajando en

educación pública. La Escuela Intermedia de Immokalee es mi hogar lejos de casa y realmente disfruto trabajando con nuestros estudiantes de secundaria y poder presenciar sus éxitos a medida que avanzan a través de la escuela secundaria y más allá de esta.

Soy Lauren Woodward, otra Vice Directora de Currículo e Instrucción de la Escuela Intermedia de Immokalee. Soy originaria de Richmond, Virginia y me trasladé a la Florida con mi marido. Este año escolar marca mi décimo año en el campo educativo. He trabajado como profesora de ESE de sexto, séptimo y octavo grado, jefa de departamento y subdirectora a nivel de escuela intermedia y superior. La primera rifa de PBS se llevará a cabo el viernes, 29 de septiembre de 2017. Cualquier estudiante que haya ganado un billete o boleto de PBS será elegible para el sorteo. Los ganadores podrán elegir entre una variedad de premios. Continúen reforzando las reglas de IMS (estar bien preparado, elegir sabiamente, mostrar respeto) junto con una conducta apropiada en la escuela o a todo tiempo.

Favor de revisar las calificaciones de su hijo en FOCUS semanalmente y de alentarle a leer y estudiar diariamente y a completar y entregar

todas sus tareas a tiempo. Los estudiantes deben aprobar las clases de: Idioma inglés, Matemáticas, Ciencias y Estudios Sociales de 6º, 7º y 8º grado, antes de poder pasar al 9º grado en la escuela superior.

La Feria de Ciencias Escolares IMS se llevará a cabo el jueves 16 de noviembre en la biblioteca de IMS. Se reciben con agrado a los padres para visitar a sus hijos y echar un vistazo a los proyectos de ciencia desde las 8:30 hasta las 9AM, luego de registrarse en la oficina. Buscamos miembros de la comunidad para servir de jueces de 9-11:30AM. Los 12 proyectos más importantes pasarán a la Feria de Ciencias Regional .
