2017 NOVEMBER – DECEMBER FARE BELLA SCHEDULE All classes taught by Patrice Filler MAKING MARKS WITH INK IN WATERCOLOR WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 15 10-3 $60 Scribbles, scratches, accurate line drawing….whatever your preference….combine drawing with watercolor. Lay down layers of color that represent shapes: trees, figures, animals—anything you choose. When dry begin to draw or scribble the actual image on top of the color shapes. Doesn’t matter if it matches. This is a fun, inventive way to add interest and movement to your paintings. Would you rather sketch first and then paint? That’s OK too. The choice is yours. Engage the viewer’s imagination by creating mesmerizing atmospheric paintings. ARTIST TIP: CONTROL YOUR LINES Use the r ight brush! Using a brush that’s too small creates unwanted l ines. Your painting wi l l look streaked instead of smooth. A larger brush leaves you with fewer edges—a nice transit ion within an object. Feature Artist/Student Becky Winegar Becky has undeniably found her v isual voice. Combining watercolor with pen (scribbl ing as Becky cal ls it)….she creates the most charming paintings. What a unique way to interpret the subject whi le capturing the personal ity so wel l . Just look at those eyes! Becky is a Colorado native. Married to Gary, they have a blended family—two sons and two daughters….al l grown up with one grandson. A retired RN, Becky worked in the Cheyenne Mountain School distr ict for 16 years. It ’s no wonder that she has such a sweet, caring nature. Becky and Gary have a getaway home in Breckenridge that al lows them the joy of the mountains that they so love. Outdoor adventures, hiking, tennis, yoga….and of course painting are some of Becky’s favorite things to do. They also enjoy art and have a fabulous col lection.

Did I mention a passion for travel? Becky and Gary celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary with a tr ip to NYC and then North to Montreal. Now that’s my kind of celebration! Becky…you have such a beautiful sprit. Styl ish, sophisticated, real ly cute—not only a good fr iend but a valuable addit ion to the Fare Bella sorority. Yes, we love us some Becky!!
