From 1913 through to 1920s Nursing Registration Acts were being passed to standardize nursing qualifications.

The Australian Nursing Federation was formed membership of the International Council of Nurses was achieved in 1937.

From 1913 through to 1920s Nursing Registration Acts were being passed to standardize nursing qualifications.

The Australian Nursing Federation was formed membership of the International Council of Nurses was achieved in 1937.

In 1946 The National Florence Nightingale Memorial Committee, was created with branches in all States to provide post graduate courses for nurses.

It was this body which pioneered the establishment of the College of Nursing, Australia in 1949.
