Her cock- tail-length sleeveless gown was fashioned of Broderie Anglais and had a cape collar. A rose headpiece held fast her shoulder, length tulle veil. White orchids and stephanotis made up her cascade arrangement. Miss Frances Berkowitz, sister of the bride was the maid of honor. Her cocktail-length gown was fashioned of green and white embroidered organdy. Pale yel- low roses made up her floral arrangement. David Fenton of New London, Conn., served as best man for his friend. A reception and dinner follow- ed at the home of the bride's parents, who have been resi- dents of the community for the paat 20 years. Mrs. Hargreaves was gradu- ated from Connecticut College For Women, class of 1969, and is training for social work. Her husband, who is an alumnus of Cambridge University, En- gland, class of 1968, is a chem- istry teaoher at the City of London School, London. Mr. and Mrs. Hargreaves are honeymooning in New England. Shapiro of Jackson Heights and Arnold Maurice Lewis of Edgemere. Dr. E. Feklbln of the Astoria Syna- gogue performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Shapiro, of Jackson Heights. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Ruth Lewis, of 336 Beach 45th street and the late Sol Lewis. The bride was given in mar- riage by her parents. She wore a ballerina-length, short - sleeved gown fashioned of Chantilly lace that had a Sabrina neckline. Her double-tiered, shoulder-length, il- lusion veil was held in place with a coronet headpiece. She carried a white Bible with white orchids. Miss Jean Shapiro, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Her cocktail-length gown was fash- ioned of pale blue silk taffeta. Mrs. David Shapiro of Jamaica Estates, sister-in-law of the bride served as matron of honor. Her pale pink cocktail - length gown was fashioned of peau de soie with schiffli embroidery. Both at- tendants carried colonial bouquets made up of pink and white car- nations and roses. Lori Shapiro, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. Albert Miller of Valley Stream, a close friend of the groom, serv- ed as his best man. One hundred relatives and friends attended the reception and dinner which followed. Mr. Lewis, an alumnus of Far Rockaway High School, is em- ployed by the Lando Dental Lab oratory Corp., Brooklyn. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis will take up residence in their new home in Jackson Heights, following their return from Puerto Rico where they are spending their honey- moon. Farley Couple In ISew Home The marriage of Midi Edna Super, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Super, of 73 John street, Inwood, L. I., to James L. Far- ley, son of Mrs. James E. Stveet Sixteen Party For Phyllis Cranese The 16th birthday of Miss Phyl- lis Granese was celebrated at a surprise party last night at her home, 684 Highland place, Rocka- way Point. The party was given by her mother, Mrs. Ursulla Granese, who makes her year-round home in Glendale. <MpV| Miss Granese is a senior at St. Angela Hall Academy, Brooklyn, where she Is a member of the Junior Red Cross and the Mis- sion Club. Third Child Greeted By Reines Couple Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Reines of Brooklyn have announced the binth of their third'Child, Laurie Sue, at St. Joseph's Hospital on July 29. The infant weighed six pounds and 14 ounces. She was the third grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. George Seftell, of 140 Beach 131st street, Belle Harbor, and also the third for the paternal grandparents. Miss Vasselman was graduated from St. Francis de Sales Aca- demy and Stella Marls Commer- cial High School. She is employed by the William H. Sa-dUer Pub- lishing Company in Manhattan as a bookkeeper. Her mother is Lima R. C. Church and is also president of its Altar and Rosary Society. Patrolman Healy, an alumnus of the same parochial school and Far Rockaway High School, serv- ed in the Army during the Korean conflict and was stationed in Japan. A member of the New York Police Department, he is assigned to the 16th Precinct in Manhattan. The wedding date has been set for late fall in 1961. Kevin Madden Tendered Surprise Birthday Party A surprise birthday party was tendered to Kevin Madden, of Brooklyn, brother of Mrs. Mary Wilson of Beach 86th street, the head nurse of post partum of the obstetrics floor at the Pen- insula General Hospital, Edge- mere. The party was held at the home of Mrs. Eva MoKnight, 46 West 13th' road, Broad Channel, a close friend who is the head nurse of second floor medical at the same hospital. Piano and mandolin selections and singing of many favorites, including popular hits of yester day and today, were enjoyed by relatives and friends. Dancing to the tunes of the 1920's when the Charleston and big apple were the favorites narrowed down to the modern jive enjoyed by the younger set. The marriage of Midi Edna Super, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Super, of 73 John street, Inwood, L. I., to James L. Far­ley, son of Mrs. James E. Farley, Of 1443 McBride street, Far Rock-away, and the late Mr. Farley, took place Sunday, July 24.

The Rev. George LaFlare offici­ated at the ceremonies. Mrs. Carol Spano was matron of hon­or and John Cittarino was the best man.

The bridesmaids were the Miss­es Susan Super, Nancy, Barbara and Kathy Farley, Natalie Oliv-eri. Diane Zimmerman was the flower girl.

Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Meyer of Belle Harbor, to Mr. Alan S. Weinstein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Weinstein of Rockville Centre, took place last Friday.

Dr. Robert Cordis performed the single-ring ceremony in the chapel of Temple Beth-El.

Miss Meyer, who attended Beaver College for two years, is a senior at New York Univer­sity's Washington Square Col­lege. She will ibe graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in January.

Mr. Weinstein is a member of Golktn-Bomback and Co., mem bers of the New York Stock Exchange. He is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, and is presently working for his Master's degree in Finance at New York Univer sity Graduate School of Husi ness Administration.

After a honeymoon in Jamaica, B.W.I., Mr. and Mrs. Weinstein will reside in Forest Hills.

David Selikowitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Selikowitz, of 71-10 Amstel boulevard, Arverne, was host to several classmates from Western Maryland College, Westminster, Md., at his home.

A Friday night cook-out at the Fredholm summer home at East Rockaway, a visit on Sat­urday afternoon to the Empire State Building, Pennsylvania Sta­tion, the Port Authority Term­inal, Times Square, Broadway and the Cross Roads Cafe was enjoyed by the guests. A pleas-ant afternoon on the beach off 69th street helped round out an eventful weekend.

Miss Granese is a senior at St. Angela Hall Academy, Brooklyn, where she Is a member of the Junior Red Cross and the Mis­sion Club.

Third Child Greeted By Reines Couple

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Reines of Brooklyn have announced the binth of their third'Child, Laurie Sue, at St. Joseph's Hospital on July 29. The infant weighed six pounds and 14 ounces.

She was the third grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. George Seftell, of 140 Beach 131st street, Belle Harbor, and also the third for the paternal grandparents.

Kevin Madden Tendered Surprise Birthday Party

A surprise birthday party was tendered to Kevin Madden, of Brooklyn, brother of Mrs. Mary Wilson of Beach 86th street, the head nurse of post partum of the obstetrics floor at the Pen­insula General Hospital, Edge-mere.

The party was held at the home of Mrs. Eva MoKnight, 46 West 13th' road, Broad Channel, a close friend who is the head nurse of second floor medical at the same hospital.

Piano and mandolin selections and singing of many favorites, including popular hits of yester day and today, were enjoyed by relatives and friends. Dancing to the tunes of the 1920's when the Charleston and big apple were the favorites narrowed down to the modern jive enjoyed by the younger set.

Joseph McMahon Marks Birthday

Mr. and Mrs. Josepn McMahon entertained relatives and friends last Wednesday evening at their home, 14-16 Cross Bay boulevard, Broad Channel, in honor of Mr. McMahon's birthday.

nians and Auxiliary, Division 21, will hold its annual dance on Sat­urday, August 20, at the Rocka­way Council, No. 2672, Knights of Columbus, clubhouse, on Beach 90th street.
