And who is more unjust than he who prohibits the name of Allah being glorified in Allah’s temples and seeks to ruin them? It was not proper for such men to enter therein

except in fear. For them is disgrace in this world; and theirs shall be a great punishment in the next. (Al-Baqarah, 2:150).

This verse constitutes a strong indictment of those

who carry their religious differences to such ex-

tremes that they do not even refrain from perpe-

trating outrages against the places of worship be-

longing to other creeds. They hinder people from

worshiping God in their sacred places and even

go so far as to destroy their temples. Such acts of

violence are denounced here in strong terms and

a lesson of tolerance and broadmindedness is in-

culcated. The Holy Qur’an recognizes for all men

the free and unrestricted right to use their temples

and declares that if anybody wishes to worship

God in a place of worship, he should not be pre-

vented from doing so; for a temple or a mosque is

a place of dedicated to the worship of God and the

person who prevents men from worshiping Him

in it, in fact contributes to its ruin and desolation.

This is what Islam teaches about respect for the

places of worship, and yet it has come to be con-

demned as an intolerant religion. Islam is in-

deed the first and the only religion to inculcate

broadmindedness and teach respect for the reli-

gious susceptibilities of all peoples; and the Holy

Prophet (pboh) was the first person who carried

this great and noble principle into actual practice.

He allowed the Christians of Najran to hold their

service in his own mosque, the celebrated Masjid

Nabvi, when they came to have religious discus-

sion with him at Medina (Zurqani).

It will be noted that the verse prescribes two pun-

ishments for those who prohibit the name of

Allah being glorified in the places of worship. One

is disgrace in this world and the other is heavy

punishment in the next. The punishment of dis-

grace is typical of the offence; for a person who

first builds a temple or a mosque with the object

that the name of the God may be remembered in

it and then proceeds to prevent people from wor-

shiping Him therein cannot but bring upon him

self humiliation and disgrace in the eyes of the

world. The verse also contains a prophecy about

the disbelievers of Mecca who prevented the Mus-

lims from entering the Ka’aba. The prophecy was

fulfilled when Mecca was taken and the infidels

met with humiliation and disgrace.

It may be noted that the verse should be under-

stood to mean that the Holy Qur’an does not ad-

vocate the unqualified access for all sorts of per-

sons to all places of worship without regard to

circumstances. In fact, only those who wish to use

them for the specific purpose of God’s worship

and have no ulterior motive are allowed.

here are two aspects of good characteristics and high morals and they constitute the gist and the

compendium of the teachings of Islam. One, to worship God so that we can do our duty towards Him,

to shun evil and all that God the Almighty has forbidden us to do and to do what He has commanded

that we should do, to be ever prepared for doing all that He has commanded us to do. Two, that we

should not be slack in doing our duty towards our fellow beings and to do them as much of good as

lies in our power. Those who do not do their duties towards the human beings, even if they are doing

their duties towards God, are in a precarious position and they are not secure. The reason is that so

far as God is concerned He covers up the sins and He also forgives; He is Merciful and forbearing and

He pardons the people; very often He forgives the sins. On the other hand, so far as human beings are

concerned they do not easily forgive anyone and if a man does not forgive the other person who has

done him some wrong, the offender is not safe and his good deeds are liable to be wiped out - even

though he might have been trying all that he could to act upon the commandments of God by offering

five daily prayers and doing other acts of this nature.

That is why a true believer is he who does his duty towards God and also does his duty towards his fel-

low beings - and he does so with great care. It is only the people who perform these two kinds of duties

that can be said to be acting upon all the teachings of the Holy Quran, otherwise it will be said that he

is acting upon the teachings of half of the Holy Quran.

But it must be remembered that it does not lie in the power of man to act on both the aspects of his

duties of his own will and power. Man is tied down with the chain of low passions of the self. Unless he

is vouchsafed the grace of God and unless God enables him to do these things, he cannot do anything

whatsoever. That being the case one should always continue supplicating to God that He may enable

him to do good and grant him riddance from the low passions of self. The self (which is prone to low

passions) is a great enemy of man. Had it not existed, the Satan also would not have been there. It is an

enemy that works inwardly and it can be aptly described as a snake under the grass. As for the Satan,

it is an outward enemy.

It is a common knowledge that when someone wishes to break into somebody’s house, he has to have

some inmate of the house to be his friend and informant. The thief who has to come from without

cannot act unless he has somebody from within with whom he has made a secret plan. That is why the

Satan works from without and the self works from within and that is how the faith of the man is robbed

and the light of belief is extinguished. God says in the Holy Quran ..... that is to say, I do not take myself

to be free (it is Joseph who is made to say this). Verily the self which is guided by low passions carries

the man towards evil.

An address delivered by His Holiness, Mirza Mas-roor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V(aba), Head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community on 11th June 2013 at an event to celebrate the centenary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the United Kingdom, held at the Houses of Parliament in Lon-don. The centenary celebrations were attended by 68 dignitaries, including 30 MPs and 12 Members of the House of Lords, including 6 Cabinet Ministers and 2 Ministers. Various media organisations including the BBC, Sky TV and ITV were also present to cover the event. In attendance, amongst others, was the Sec-retary of State for Energy and Climate Change The Rt Hon. Ed Davey MP, the Deputy Prime Minister The Rt Hon. Nick Clegg MP, the Home Secretary The Rt Hon. Theresa May MP, the Shadow Foreign Secretary The Rt Hon. Douglas Alexander MP, the Chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee Rt Hon. Keith Vaz MP and Member of Parliament for Mitcham and Morden Siobhain McDonaugh MP.

His Holiness said:“Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem (in the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful) All distinguished guests, Assalamo Alaikum WaRahmatullahe Wa Barakatohu – peace and blessings of Allah be upon you all.First of all I would like to thank those friends of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community who, upon the centenary of our Community in the UK, have kindly organised this event within the Houses of Parlia-ment as a means to express their friendship and close relationship with us. I would also like to thank all of those guests, who by attending today, are ensuring that this event proves to be a success and worthwhile. I am pleased that quite a number of you are seated

here and are not engaged in any other commitments or meetings. In response to this gesture, apart from professing my thanks and appreciation, I would also like to say that it is my sincere hope and prayer that all of the departments and people who work within this beau-tiful and grand building are able to fulfil the rights of serving this country and its people. I also hope and pray that they are able to work in the best pos-sible manner towards fostering good relations with other nations, to act with justice and so make deci-sions that are of benefit to all parties. If this spirit is adopted then it will reap the very best fruits, which are of love, affection and brotherhood and will lead the world towards becoming a true haven of peace and prosperity. This desire and prayer of mine is shared by all Ah-madi Muslims, because we believe that it is necessary to have a deep love for one’s country and for human-ity at large. Indeed, Ahmadi Muslims believe that love for one’s country is an essential part of faith, because the Founder of Islam, the Holy Proph-et Muhammad(sa) has emphatically ordered and taught this. Thus, let me make it very clear that eve-ry Ahmadi Muslim who is a British citizen, whether born here in the UK or whether an immigrant from abroad, is completely loyal to this country and has sincere love for it. They desire only the progress and prosperity of this great nation. The number of people from other nations who now live in the UK is very significant and is estimated to be at around 14-15% of the total population of this country. And so, I cannot continue without men-tioning and praising the great qualities of open-heartedness and tolerance exhibited by the local British people, for the way in which they have ac-cepted immigrants as members of the country and

allowed them to become a part of the fabric of Brit-ish society. In this sense it becomes an incumbent moral duty upon those people who have come to set-tle here to prove themselves to be loyal citizens of this country and so they must support the govern-ment in its efforts to tackle all forms of disorder and strife. As far as the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is concerned, its members act upon this principle in whichever country they reside. As you are aware, we are currently celebrating the Centenary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at in the United Kingdom. These past 100 years prove and serve witness to the fact that the members of the Ah-madiyya Community have always fulfilled the re-quirement of being loyal to their country and have always steered absolutely clear of all forms of ex-tremism, rebellion and disorder. In reality, the fun-damental reason for this loyal and loving approach is due entirely to the fact that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a true Islamic religious community. Our Community stands apart, as we have continually introduced the true and peaceful teachings of Islam to the people of the world and we have always strived for those true teachings to become accepted as the real Islam. With these few words of introduction, I would now like to turn towards the main theme of my address. Our sect is the standard bearer for peace, reconcilia-tion and harmony, which is why our motto is ‘Love for All, Hatred for None.’ Despite the fact that some non-Muslims know us or indeed have close links to us, they are very surprised that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at attributes its message of peace and brotherhood directly to Islam. The cause of their sur-prise and shock is because they see that many other so-called Islamic scholars and organisations act and speak in a completely different way and promote a very different message. To explain this difference let me make it clear that we Ahmadi Muslims believe that, in this era, the concept of a violent ‘Jihad by the sword’ is completely wrong and is to be rejected, whilst some other Muslim scholars promote or even practice it. Their beliefs have led to many extrem-ist and terrorist organisations emerging amongst the Muslims in various parts of the world. It is not just groups that are emerging but we also find that certain individuals are taking advantage of and acting upon these false beliefs. The most recent example of this was, of course, the brutal killing of an innocent British soldier on the streets of London. It was an attack which had absolutely nothing to do with the real teachings of Islam; rather, Islamic teachings vehemently condemn such acts. Such evil plots demonstrate the clear difference between the

true teachings of Islam and the misconstrued teach-ings, which some so-called Muslims are practicing due to their ulterior motives. I would also like to say that the reaction of some of the local groups is not correct and can destroy the peace of the society. What evidence is there to support our contention that what we believe with regards to Islamic teach-ings is correct? The underlying point to consider is that the use of the sword or force is only permissible when a religious war is waged against Islam. In to-day’s world no one, be it a country or a religion, is physically waging war and attacking Islam on the basis of religion. Thus, it is not justifiable in any way for Muslims to attack any other party, in the name of religion, because this clearly violates the teachings of the Qur’an.The Qur’an only permitted force to be used against those who waged war and raised their sword against Islam. Another crucial point is that if a citizen seeks to inflict any form of harm on his country or on his fellow countrymen then clearly he would be acting against the teachings of Islam. The Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa) said that whoso sheds the blood of an innocent person is not a Muslim. The Holy Prophet(sa) has deemed such people as weak in faith and to be sinners.

I shall now turn to some other aspects of Islam that prove just how enlightened and pure its teachings re-ally are. I shall explain that the way some so-called Muslim groups present Islam does not represent the real teachings of the religion in any shape or form. It will become clear that their activities are conduct-ed with the sole desire to fulfil their vested interests by falsely using the name of Islam to justify their hate-filled acts.Islam puts so much emphasis on the importance of religious tolerance that it will be impossible to find such high standards anywhere else. Other people tend to believe that until other religions are proven to be false, they are unable to prove the truth of their religion. Islam’s approach is very different because it teaches that whilst Islam is a true religion sent for all of mankind, the truth is that all prophets of God were sent to all people and nations of the world. This is clearly mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. Allah has said that all prophets were sent by Him with teach-ings of love and affection, and so all true Muslims must accept them. No other religion so willingly and openly praises every faith and every nation as Islam does. Because Muslims believe that prophets were sent to all people and all nations they cannot ever consider them to be false. Thus, Muslims cannot dis-respect, mock or insult any of the prophets of God, nor can they injure the sentiments of the followers

Page 7: In the name of allah Most Gracious ever Merciful ANSARUDDIN · 2020-02-26 · ANSARUDDIN 1 May - Jun 2013 ANSARUDDINIn the name of allah Most Gracious ever Merciful Magazine of Majlis

of any religion.Yet, sadly the attitude of some non-Muslims is the exact opposite. They do not spare any opportuni-ty to grievously mock and slander the Founder of Islam(sa) and so gravely wound the feelings of Mus-lims. We truly desire religious tolerance and mutual understanding, because of the beliefs we hold. Un-fortunately however, when certain elements toy with the feelings of Muslims, it leads to some so-called Muslims reacting to the provocation in an entirely wrong and irresponsible way. Their reaction and response has no link to the true teachings of Islam and you will certainly find that no Ahmadi Muslim, however much they are provoked, will ever react in such a negative manner.Another grave allegation raised against the Founder of Islam(sa) and the Qur’an is that they gave teach-ings of extremism and promoted the use of force to spread the message of Islam. To assess this allegation and to seek the reality let us look to the Qur’an itself. Allah the Almighty says:‘And if thy Lord had enforced His Will, surely, all who are in the earth would have believed together. Wilt thou, then, force men to become believers?’ (Ch.10:V.100).This verse clearly states that God, as the Possessor of all Powers, could easily force all people to adopt the same religion; however, He has instead given the people of the world the freedom to choose – to believe or to not believe. And so if God has given mankind this free-dom of choice, then how could the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa) or any of his followers compel or force anyone to become a Muslim? Allah the Al-mighty also states in the Qur’an:‘It is the truth from your Lord; wherefore let him who will believe, and let him, who will disbelieve.’ (Ch.18:V.30)This is the reality of Islam. This is its true teaching. If a person’s heart desires then they are free to accept Islam, but if their heart does not, then they are free to reject it. Therefore, Islam is completely against compulsion and extremism; rather, it advocates peace and harmony at all levels of society. It is quite impossible for Islam to teach violence or compulsion because the very meaning of ‘Islam’ is to live in peace and to provide peace to all others. Nevertheless, when our religious sentiments are taunted it causes us great pain and anguish. Anything disrespectful said about the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa) pierces and wounds our hearts. It was the Founder of Islam(sa) who developed the love of God and the love of His creation in our hearts. It was he who ingrained and established love and re-spect for all of mankind and for all religions within

us. What bigger proof of Islam’s peaceful teachings can there be than the response given by the oppo-nents of the Holy Prophet(sa) when he preached and conveyed the message of Islam to them. They did not say that by inviting them to join Islam, the Holy Prophet(sa) was asking them to perpetrate any cru-elties or wrongdoing. Rather, their reply was that if they were to accept the Prophet’s teachings, their wealth and status would be threatened or seized by ruthless people, because the Holy Prophet(sa) em-phasised only peace and harmony. They admitted to a fear that if they accepted Islam then by adopting peace the surrounding people, tribes or even nations would take advantage and destroy them. In short, if Islam advocated violence, and if it called on Mus-lims to raise their swords and wage war, then clearly the disbelievers would not have given this justifica-tion. They would not have said that their failure to accept Islam was out of a fear that its teachings of peace could lead to their ruin at the hands of worldly people. The Holy Qur’an states that one of the Attributes of God Almighty is ‘Salam’ which means He is ‘The Source of Peace.’ It follows that if God truly is the ‘Source of Peace’ then His peace should encompass all of His Creation and all of mankind, rather than be limited to a specific group of people. If God’s peace was only designed to protect some people then it can-not be said that He is a God for the entire world. Allah the Almighty has answered this point in the Qur’an. Allah says:‘I swear by his repeated cry “O my Lord!” that these are a people who will not believe. Therefore, turn aside from them, and say, “Peace;” and soon shall they know.’ (Ch.43 Vs 89-90)These words illustrate that the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa) brought a teaching that was a source of mercy and compassion for all people and thus was a means of peace for all of mankind. The verse also states that in response to the Holy Prophet’s(sa) mes-sage of peace, his opponents did not only reject his teachings; they even ridiculed and insulted him. In-deed, they went even further and opposed him with enmity and created disorder and strife. Upon all of this the Holy Prophet(sa) pleaded to God that:‘I desire to give them peace, but they do not give me peace. Leaving that aside they even strive to inflict pain and agony upon me.’In response, Allah consoled him by saying:‘Ignore whatever they do and turn away from them. Your only task is to spread and establish peace in the world. You should respond to their hatred and transgressions by simply saying “peace be with you” and tell them that you have brought peace for them.’Thus, the Holy Prophet(sa) spent his entire life

Page 8: In the name of allah Most Gracious ever Merciful ANSARUDDIN · 2020-02-26 · ANSARUDDIN 1 May - Jun 2013 ANSARUDDINIn the name of allah Most Gracious ever Merciful Magazine of Majlis

spreading peace in the world. That was his noble mis-sion. Certainly, there will come a day when the peo-ple of the world will realise and understand that he did not bring any teachings of extremism. They will realise that all he brought was a message of peace, love and kindness. Furthermore, if the followers of this noble messenger also respond to cruelties and injustices in the same loving manner, then no doubt those who raise objections against Islam’s magnifi-cent teachings will one day become convinced of its truth and beauty. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at follows and lives by these teachings. It is these teachings of under-standing, tolerance and compassion that we promote and spread to the corners of the world. We follow the historic and unparalleled example of kindness and benevolence that was demonstrated by the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa) when after years of facing the most bitter and horrific cruelty and persecution, he was able to return victoriously to the streets of Makkah. For years, he and his followers, were pre-vented access to even the most basic necessities such as food and water and so they spent many days at a time suffering in a state of starvation. Many of his followers were attacked and some were killed in the most barbaric and merciless manner, which one cannot even image. Even the elderly Muslims, the Muslim women and the Muslim children were not spared; rather, they too were treated in a ruth-less and brutal way. Yet, when the Holy Prophet(sa) returned to Makkah in victory, he did not seek re-venge. Instead, he proclaimed that:“There shall be no punishment upon any of you for I have forgiven you all. I am a messenger of love and peace. I have the greatest knowledge of Allah’s attribute of being a ‘Source of Peace’ – He is the One Who gives peace. Thus, I forgive you of all of your past transgressions and I give you a guarantee of peace and security. You are free to remain in Mak-kah and to freely practise your religion. No one will be compelled or forced in any way.”Some of the most staunch disbelievers had fled Mak-kah in a state of fear of punishment because they knew they had exceeded all limits in their cruelties against the Muslims. However, upon witnessing this unrivalled act of compassion and kindness and this unique display of peace and harmony, the relatives of those disbelievers sent a message to them to re-turn. They were informed that the Holy Prophet(sa) extended nothing but peace and security and so they did return to Makkah. When they, who were pre-viously Islam’s most resolute opponents, saw for themselves the benevolence and mercy of the Holy Prophet(sa), they accepted Islam of their own free will.

What I have said is part of recorded history and the majority of non-Muslim historians and Orientalists have also certified to its truth. These are the real teachings of Islam and this was the noble example of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa). And so to label Islam and its Founder as violent and to raise such allegations against them is a cruel injustice. There is no doubt that wherever such false allegations are made we are deeply aggrieved.I shall say again that today it is our community, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, which is following and living according to the original and peaceful teach-ings of Islam. And I shall say again that the hate-filled evil acts perpetrated by extremist organisations or individu-als have no link whatsoever to the true teachings of Islam.True justice requires that the vested interests of in-dividuals or groups should not be attributed to the teachings of a religion. Such acts should not be used as an excuse to unfairly level criticism at any reli-gion or its founder. It is an urgent need of the time that, in an effort to establish global peace and har-mony, all people should display mutual respect for one another and for all religions. The alternatives are horrific. The world has become a global village and so a lack of mutual respect and a failure to join together to promote peace will not only harm the local area, city or country but in fact will ultimately lead to the de-struction of the entire world. We are all well-aware of the horrific devastation caused by the last two world wars. Due to the acts of certain countries the signs are that another world war is on the horizon. If a world war breaks out then the Western world will also be deeply affected by its far-reaching and devastating consequences. Let us save ourselves from such destruction. Let us save our future generations from the miserable and devastating consequences of war. Obviously the most horrific type of war would be an atomic war and certainly the way the world is heading there is a real risk of a nuclear war break-ing out. To prevent such a horrific outcome, we should adopt justice, integrity and honesty and join together to suppress and stop those groups who wish to spread hatred and who wish to destroy the peace of the world. It is my hope and prayer that God Almighty enables the major powers to discharge their responsibilities and duties in this effort in the most fair and just way – Ameen. Before concluding I would like to once again thank all of you for taking the time and effort to attend today. May Allah bless you all. Thank you very much.”

We know well the amazing work His Holiness (Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad) does for the cause of peace and also the members of the Ahmadiyya Commu-nity. Thus it is absolutely fitting that so many MPs are here to thank you for being loyal and hard-working members of society.” Rt Hon Nick Clegg, Deputy Prime Minister said:“The most important values and ethos which the Ahmadiyya Community has steadfastly com-municated to millions of people around the world is of course one of peace, of love and one of reconciliation and that is a message which is enduring, powerful at all times – amongst all ages and in all communities… We all join with you, whatever background, political party or re-ligious background, in celebrating the presence of your community here over a hundred years but also to celebrate the message the community has so quietly, steadfastly and with dignity been spreading and communicating for so long – one of peace, love and reconciliation.” Rt Hon Douglas Alexander, Shadow Foreign Secretary said:“In a world of ever greater diversity and chal-lenges that message of reconciliation is needed more than ever before. benefit and from which we have a lot to learn in the years ahead.” Rt Hon Theresa May, Home Secretary said:“His Holiness (Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad) has shown and continued to show that the only effective way of persuading extremists out of their poisonous convictions is peaceful dialogue. That is a message that you are giving around the world and it is a message we should all listen to and heed. I know that you have been targeted as a community yourselves, particularly in Paki-stan, where it is a criminal offence for Ahmadis to call themselves Muslims, and where you have been subjected to some horrific attacks. I am ab-solutely committed to tackling all forms of ex-tremism wherever it occurs… I have every con-fidence that in another 100 years there will be a group of people celebrating 200 years of the Ah-madiyya Muslim Community in Britain. Thank you for all that you have contributed here in the United Kingdom and not just here but also the message you are giving around the world.” During his keynote address, Hazrat Mirza Mas-roor Ahmad spoke of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat’s commitment to peace and tolerance; he spoke of the importance of loyalty to one’s country as a part of Islamic faith; he strongly condemned the recent brutal killing of a Brit-ish soldier in London; he absolutely rejected the concept of a violent Jihad in today’s world and he appealed for justice in an effort to safeguard the world from warfare and conflict.Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad began his ad-dress by addressing directly all people associated with the Houses of Parliament by saying: “It is my sincere hope and prayer that all of the departments and people who work within this beautiful and grand building are able to fulfil the rights of serving this country and its people. I also hope and pray that they are able to work in the best possible manner towards fostering good relations with other nations, to act with justice and so make decisions that are of benefit to all parties. If this spirit is adopted then it will reap the very best fruits, which are of love, af-fection and brotherhood and will lead the world towards becoming a true haven of peace and prosperity.”Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said that loyalty to one’s country was an essential part of Islamic faith and that it had been “emphatically ordered”

by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He said that all Ahmadi Muslims living in the UK desired “the progress and prosperity of this great nation.” His Holiness also praised the British public for welcoming immigrants to the United Kingdom and allowing them to be-come “part of the fabric of British society.” The Khalifa continued by stating that through-out its 100 year existence in the United Kingdom the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat had always pro-moted peace and rejected all forms of extremism.Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:“These past 100 years prove and serve witness to the fact that the members of the Ahmadiyya Community have always fulfilled the require-ment of being loyal to their country and have always steered absolutely clear of all forms of extremism, rebellion and disorder. In reality, the fundamental reason for this loyal and loving approach is due entirely to the fact that the Ah-madiyya Muslim Community is a true Islamic religious community.” The world leader continued by condemning and rejecting absolutely the concept of a ‘vio-lent Jihad’. He accepted with regret that some other ‘so-called’ Muslim scholars promoted such teachings but said they were entirely wrong and responsible for the formation of various terror-ist groups and the radicalisation of certain in-dividuals.Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:“The most recent example of terrorism was, of course, the brutal killing of an innocent British soldier on the streets of London. It was an attack which had absolutely nothing to do with the real teachings of Islam; rather, Islamic teachings ve-hemently condemn such acts.”Later in his address, His Holiness appealed for mutual religious respect and tolerance. He said that Islam had given the foundation for peace because the Quran taught that prophets of God were sent to all peoples and nations.Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:“No other religion so willingly and openly prais-es every faith and every nation as Islam does.”Describing the true character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) Haz-rat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:“It was the Founder of Islam who developed the love of God and the love of His creation in our hearts. He said that he feared current conflicts could escalate into a world war unless all forms of dis-crimination and inequality were rooted out. Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:“Due to the acts of certain countries the signs are that another world war is on the horizon. The Study of AhadithDefinition of Hadith

Ḥadīth (plural Aḥādīth) is an Arabic word, its root-meaning is a statement which may either be an entirely novel one or may have been put in a novel way.’ Since the speech of the Holy Prophet (peace be on him and blessings of Allāh) is pregnant with novel and priceless truths, it has been terminologically described as Ḥadīth. Ḥadīth thus stands for the holy word that our Master the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) actually uttered or which relates some incident of his holy life, in terms of ocular evidence, and was committed to writing after the lapse of some time through his companions and the Muslim narrators of a later date.Arabs were gifted with an extraordinarily ex-cellent memory, as is acknowledged even by the Christian historians. Whatever they would hear or see, they could remember distinctly and with the utmost sense of responsibility and since Ḥadīth is a holy and religious discipline and an important branch of learning, greatest care was especially exercised in dealing with it with a scrupulous regard for truth and verac-ity. The Aḥādīth of the Holy Prophet (peace of Allāh be on him and His blessings) were thus transmitted to the succeeding generations with more than usual caution. There is no doubt that some narrators were not so reliable in respect of memory or intelligence, or, for that matter, even in point of integrity, that their reports may not be relied on fully. But the early scholars of Aḥādīth, who collected the whole body of the sayings and Aḥādīth of the Holy Prophet, have

laid down such inviolable cannons and criteria as to make a discrimination of the stable from the unstable Ḥadīth an easy task, through proper scrutiny.

The Method of Narration

The method of narrating Aḥādīth consisted, on the part of a companion, who had personally heard the Holy Prophet (peace be on him and blessings of Allāh) make a statement or seen him do a particular thing, in communicating it, for the purpose of disseminating knowledge, to such others as had not so heard or seen the Holy Prophet or had not seen the blessed pe-riod of the Holy Prophet (blessings of Allāh be on him and His peace). The statement, narrating the Ḥadīth, would ordinarily run like this: “I heard it from so and so that he heard from such and such companion of the Holy Prophet (peace on him and the blessings of Allāh) that he heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) say on such and such occasion or saw him do such and such a thing.” They would thus convey the report to the other with a view to re-freshing faith or spreading knowledge. Thus it was that the Aḥādīth of the Holy Prophet (peace be on him and blessings of Allāh) were preserved for the succeeding generations, through a regu-larly linked and unbroken chain of narrators.

Categories of Narrators

Narrators of Ḥadīth are divided into several cat-egories. The highest of them is the Muslim narra-tor who heard or saw personally the Holy Proph-

et (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) say or do a particular thing. He is called ‘companion.’ To the second category belongs the narrator who heard from a companion and transmitted it further. He is called Tābiī and the one in the lower category is called Taba Tābiī. Thence for-ward runs the whole chain of ordinary narrators. Similarly the narrators have been classified ac-cording to their respective memory, intelligence and integrity.

Standard Works of Hadith

The Aḥādīth were collected and compiled in book form, roughly speaking, from the middle of the second century of the Hijra, to the end of the third century. There are a large number of books on Ḥadīth, but six of them are considered to be of great reliability and treated as standard works. They are, therefore, known as Ṣiḥāḥ Sittah, i.e., six authentic books of Ḥadīth. Their names are as under:1. SAHIH BUKHARI: Compiled by Imām Muḥammad bin Ismāīl Al-Bukhārī (A.H. 194 to A.H. 256). This work of Imām Bukhārī is authentic book on Ḥadīth and Imām Bukhārī is regarded as the most outstanding figure among the com-piler-scholars of Aḥādīth. The Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī has therefore been termed as the most genuinely correct book after the Qurān, the Book of Allāh.2. SAHIH MUSLIM: Compiled by Imām Muslim bin Al- Ḥajjāj An-Nīshāpūrī (A.H. 204 to A.H. 261) His work is considered to be the second best among the six standard books of Aḥādīth and is regarded an excellent and reliable collection. Most of the scholars of Ḥadīth have named the Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī and the Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim as the two correct works (Ṣaḥīḥain).3. JAMI TIRMIDHI: Compiled by Imām Abū Īsā Muḥammad bin ‘Īsā al-Tirmidhī (A.H. 209 to A.H. 279) He was a disciple of Imām Bukhārī. His col-lection of Aḥādīth has been held in high estima-tion.4. SUNAN ABU DAWUD: Compiled by Imām Abū Dāwūd Sulaimān bin al-Ashath as-Sijistānī (A.H. 202 to A.H. 275) In the collection and collation

of legalistic material he holds a high place. But scholars are divided on the question of assigning priority of merit of Jāmi Tirmidhī and Sunan Abū Dāwūd.5. SUNAN AN–NASAI: Compiled by Imām Aḥmad bin Shuaib An Nasāī (A.H. 215 to A.H. 306) Imām Nasāī is one of the leading scholars of Aḥādīth and his work is generally accorded fifth place among the six standard books (Ṣiḥāḥ Sittah).6. SUNAN IBN MAJAH: Compiled by Imām Muḥammad bin Yazīd bin Mājah al-Qizvainī (A.H. 209 to A.H. 273). This book is placed sixth among the standard Ṣiḥāḥ Sittah (the sixth cor-rect works). It is a really good book. All these Muḥaddiththin (compiler-scholars or editors of Ḥadīth) spent the whole of their lives in search of Aḥādīth and compiled their collections out of a vast store of hundreds of thousands of Aḥādīth. The entire Muslim world owes these sa-vants a heavy debt of gratitude. May Allāh give them the choicest reward. In addition to the above listed six books the under-mentioned two works on Ḥadīth are also very well-known.

1. MUATTA: Compiled by Imām Mālik Ibni Anas Al- Madanī (A.H. 95 to A.H. 179) Imām Mālik, in addition to holding a leading position among the scholar-compilers of Ḥadīth, is regarded as a leading jurist and is one of the four celebrities of jurisprudence whom the vast majority of Mus-lims seek to follow in all questions pertaining to Fiqh, (jurisprudence). The followers of Imām Mālik are called Mālikīs. Having been born at a time nearest to the period of the Holy Proph-et (peace of Allāh be on him and His blessings) and for receiving early training in Medina, Imām Mālik holds a position of great eminence. Ḥaḍrat Shah Waliyyullāh Muḥaddith Dehlavī, Mujaddid of the 12th century Hijra regarded his work, on account of his personal predilection, superior to Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī. But there is little doubt that the Muaṭṭā is a great book indeed.2. Musnad Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal Al-Bagh-

dadI: (A.H.164 to A.H. 242). Imām Aḥmad bin Ḥanbal is also regarded as a leading scholar of

Ḥadīth as well as a celebrated doctor of jurispru-dence like Imām Mālik. The Muslims who follow his school of jurisprudence are called Ḥanbalīs. His collection is definitely of a high standard. Due to lack of vigilance on the part of his son, some weak Aḥādīth found their way into his great work. The other two Imāms of Fiqh (jurisprudence) are the Imām Abū Ḥanīfah (A.H. 80 to A.H. 150) and Imām Shāfi‘ī (A.H. 105 to A.H. 204). Imām Abū Ḥanīfah, popularly known as the Imām Azam, has the largest following. He has been recognized as the leading figure among the Imāms of jurispru-dence. He devoted most of his time to questions of Fiqh. (Imām Shāfiīs collection of Aḥādīth enti-tled Kitābul- Imām is also a work of repute.)

Categories of Hadith

Scholars have divided Aḥādīth into several cat-egories. Of these the following are well-known.1. ḤADĪTH QAULĪ: This type of Ḥadīth quotes the words of the Holy Prophet (peace and bless-ings of Allāh be on him) as actually uttered by him, as for example, a companion narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace of Allāh be on him and His blessings) made such and such speech on a particular occasion or conversed in such and such word with a particular person or gave such and such command to so and so companion and so on and so forth.2. ḤADĪTH FILĪ: This Ḥadīth does not quote any word or statement of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) but narrates some act of his, as, for instance, it says the Holy Prophet (peace be on him and the blessings of Allāh) did such and such thing on such and such occasion or performed such and such religious duty in such and such manner.3. ḤADĪTH TAQRĪRĪ: This type of Ḥadīth relates neither a statement nor an act of the Holy Proph-et (peace of Allāh be on him and His blessings). Instead it records what a particular person did or said in the presence of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) and that he did not forbid him to do or say it. In fact, the word

taqrīr in the Arabic language does not mean speech. Instead it means to keep up or uphold something. Ḥadīth Taqrīrī would therefore stand for a Ḥadīth which confirms, as correct a state-ment, or, an act of a companion made or done in the presence of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) and to which he did not object.4. ḤADĪTH QUDSĪ: In this Ḥadīth, the Holy Proph-et (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) as-cribes a word or act to God the Excellent, say-ing that God had commanded him thus. Such a statement is other than the Qurānic revelation.5. ḤADĪTH MARFŪ‘: This Ḥadīth traces a state-ment direct to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) without any break in the chain of reporters.6. ḤADĪTH MAUQŪF: The Ḥadīth cannot be traced to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) but stops short and does not proceed beyond a particular reporter. But the nature of the Ḥadīth and the tenor and tone of the testimony should warrant the conclusion that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) must have been heard making the statement.7. ḤADĪTH MUTTAṢIL: The reporters of this Ḥadīth are known and mentioned and are known and placed in a serial order and none of them is found missing or left unidentified.8. ḤADĪTH MUNQAṬI‘: All narrators of this Ḥadīth are reliable in point of

(a) memory,(b) intelligence and(c) integrity.

A little reflection will show that these three crite-ria suffice to test the reliability of a narrator.10. ḤADĪTH ḌAĪF: The Ḥadīth with an unreliable narrator, either in respect of memory or intelli-gence or integrity, so much so that even if one of the narrators is unreliable, in spite of the rest of them being reliable, the Ḥadīth will be treated as weak (ḍaīf).11. ḤADĪTH MAUḌU‘: A Ḥadīth which is proved

Page 16: In the name of allah Most Gracious ever Merciful ANSARUDDIN · 2020-02-26 · ANSARUDDIN 1 May - Jun 2013 ANSARUDDINIn the name of allah Most Gracious ever Merciful Magazine of Majlis

to have been invented by a lying narrator.12. ATHAR. (plural āthār): It is nothing more than a report consisting of a statement made by a companion. It does not ascribe any statement to the Holy Prophet (peace be on him and the bless-ings of Allāh). It is clear that athar has no place in the classification of Ḥadīth but is something apart from it. As the books of Ḥadīth happen generally to embody athar as well, the common people sometime fail to make any distinction be-tween the two.

Difference between Hadith and Sunnah

An important point which should be borne in mind is that, though the general mass of people make no distinction between Ḥadīth and Sunnah, the two are, in fact, quite distinct. Ḥadīth consists of the actual words or details of the deeds of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) as reported down the line of successive narrators. But these Aḥādīth or reports were committed to memory, jealously safeguarded and treasured in the hearts of the reporters and were communi-cated verbally at first. They were later collected and edited with great care in the form of books at different times, varying from hundred to two hundred and fifty years after Hijra. As against this, the Sunnah is not the name of a recorded report but stands for the actual practice of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) in respect of a religious matter and which his companions, adopted in his own lifetime and under his own supervision. Each generation held fast to this actual form in which the Holy Prophet practiced religion, and in its turn was passed on to the succeeding generations. As, for example, when the Qurānic command about Prayers was revealed to the Holy Prophet (peace and bless-ings of Allāh be on him), it did not contain, in an explicit manner, full details such as the number of times a Muslim must pray during the course of the day and night, respective timings of dif-ferent Prayers, the number of rakaāt in each,

and the manner in which each rakah was to be performed, etc. In this regard he set to his com-panions a practical example of compliance with these commands, guided as he was by the im-plicit inspiration from God and which again was a divine gift; and established the companions firm in keeping with this example. And the compan-ions in their turn, carried this practical form to the Tābiīn and the Tābiīn passed it on, through their own example, to the Taba Tābiīn.Thus was established a mode of practiced reli-gion that was immutable in form and that was passed on from generation to generation. The Sunnah is evidently, therefore, distinct and something apart from Ḥadīth and carries much greater weight and stability than Ḥadīth. We, therefore, hold that the Islāmic Sharīat is based originally on the Holy Qurān and the Sunnah. For, the Qurān is the word of God and the Sunnah is the practical explanation of this word, which the Prophet of God (peace and blessings of Allāh be on him) established through his personal exam-ple and then, through the personal example of the companions, it reached the succeeding gen-eration, and thus was one torch lighted from the other torch. But, as against this, the Ḥadīth is, in fact, a collection of verbal reports (so much so that even the Filī and Taqrīrī Aḥādīth have come down to us through verbal reports), and has the status of a supporting witness. No doubt, it is a forceful supporting witness which cannot be ig-nored. In any case, it is not as basic as the Qurān and the Sunnah. Nevertheless, there is no gain-saying the fact that the Ḥadīth is a most pre-cious treasure-house of historical, intellectual and spiritual wealth. So long as a Ḥadīth is not found contrary to a Qurānic verse or a more re-liable Ḥadīth, it is the duty of every Muslim to accept it, in obedience to the Qurānic command, “Obey Allāh and the Prophet” and make it for life a source of divine guidance. It is a matter of re-gret, however, that some of the so-called Mus-lims of our day seem bent on minimizing the importance of this priceless treasure of wisdom.

(as explained by the Promised Messiah)

The Muslims have three sources for establishing themselves on Islamic guidance.First, the Holy Quran which is the Book of God than which we have no more conclusive and certain statement. It is the Word of God and is free from all doubt and speculation.Secondly, the practice of the Holy Prophet, which is called Sunnah. We do not regard hadeeth and sunnah as one. They are distinct, hadeeth is one thing and sunnah is another. By sunnah we mean the practice of the Holy Prophet, to which he adhered and which appeared along with the Holy Quran and will accompany it. In other words, the Holy Quran is the Word of God Almighty and the sunnah is the action of the Holy Prophet, peace be on him. It has ever been the way of God that the Prophets bring the Word of God for the guidance of people and illustrate it in practice with their conduct so that no doubt should remain in the minds of people with regard to the Divine Word. They act upon it and urge others to do the same. The third source of guidance is hadeeth, by which we mean those traditions which were compiled from the statements of diverse narrators a century and a half after the Holy Prophet. The distinction between sunnah and hadeeth is that sunnah is a continuous practice which was started by the Holy Prophet. It is only next to the Holy Quran in its certainty. As the Holy Prophet was commissioned for the propagation of the Quran, he was also commissioned for establishing the sunnah. As the Holy Quran is certain so is the continuous sunnah. Both these tasks were performed by the Holy Prophet as his duty. For instance, when the Prayer services were made obligatory, the Holy Prophet illustrated by his action how many rakaas were to be performed in each Prayer service. In the same way, he illustrated the performance of the pilgri¬mage. He thus established thousands of his companions on his practice. The practical illustration which has been continuous among the Muslims is the sun-nah. On the other hand, the Holy Prophet did not have the hadeeth recorded in his pre¬sence nor did he make any arrangement for its compilation. Hazrat Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, had collected some ahadeeth and then had them burnt out of greater caution as he himself had not heard them from the Holy Prophet and did not know their reality. When the time of the companions of the Holy Prophet had passed some of their successors thought of compiling the ahadeeth and they were compiled. There is no doubt that most of the compilers of hadeeth were very pious and righteous. They tested the accuracy of ahadeeth as far as it was possible and tried to steer clear of such of them as in their opinion were manufactured, and they rejected every hadeeth any narrator of which was of doubtful veracity. As all this activity was expostjactum, it was no more than conjecture; yet it would be most unfair to say that all ahadeeth are vain and useless and false. So much care was taken in compiling the ahadeeth, and such research and criticism were employed in the task, that they cannot be matched in any other religion. The Jews also had compila¬tions of hadeeth and Jesus was opposed by that sect of thejews who followed the ahadeeth, but it is not proved that the Jewish compilers of hadeeth had exercised that care in compil¬ing their collections as the Muslim compilers of hadeeth did. Nevertheless, it would be a mistake to imagine that till the ahadeeth were compiled, the Muslims were unaware of the details of Prayer services or did not know the proper way of performing the pilgrimage. The practical illustrations of the sunnah had taught them all the limits and obligations laid down by Islam. It is true, therefore, that even if the ahadeeth, which were collected after a long time, had not been com¬piled this would not have affected the real teaching of Islam

for the Holy Quran and practice had fulfilled this need. The ahadeeth only added to that light and Islam became light upon light and the ahadeeth became testimonies for the Quran and sunnah. Of the many sects that subsequently appeared in Islam, the true one derived great benefit from the true ahadeeth. The correct way, therefore, is neither to treat the ahadeeth as having greater authority than the Quran, as do the Ahl-i-hadeeth of this age, and not to prefer the statements in the ahadeeth which are contradictory of the Quran to the Quran itself; nor to regard the ahadeeth as vain and false as is the belief of Maulvi Abdullah Chakralvi. The Quran and sunnah should judge the ahadeeth and those that are not opposed to them should by all means be accepted. This is the straight path and blessed are those who follow it. Most unfortunate and foolish is the person who rejects the ahadeeth altogether without regard to the test that we have proposed. It should be the duty of the members of our community that a hadeeth which is not opposed to the Quran and sunnah, should be ac-cepted and followed, however weak might be its authority, and it should be preferred to the rules framed by jurists (Review of the Debate Between Batalvi and Chakralvi, page 6).

Authoritative booksThe books that we accept and believe in and consider trustworthy are the following.First is the Holy Quran. It should, however, be remem-bered that only that interpretation of a verse of the Quran is correct and trustworthy which is testified to by other verses of the Quran, inasmuch as some verses of the Quran interpret other verses. If certainty of meaning should not be guaran¬teed by other verses of the Quran, then the meaning should be confirmed by some true and reliable ha-deeth. According to us the interpretation based merely on one’s opinion is not permissible. Everyone who raises an objection against the Holy Quran should keep this rule in mind.Of the other books that are accepted by us the Sahih of Bokhari ranks as the first. All its ahadeeth which are not opposed to the Holy Quran are in our view authoritative. Next comes the Sahih of Muslim. We accept its authority subject to the condition that it should not be opposed to the Holy Quran and the Sahih of Bokhari. Next to them are the compilations of Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, the Muatta of Imam Malik, Nissai, Abu Daud and Dar Qutni, which we regard as authoritative so long as they are not opposed to the Holy Quran and Bokhari and Muslim. These are our religious books and these are the conditions under which we accept them. . . .Every critic must confine himself to these books and these conditions (Arya Dharam, p. 86).Regarding the Book and sunnah as authorities I believe that the Book of Allah is to be preferred to all. If the purport of a hadeeth is not opposed to the Book of Allah, it would be accepted as authori-tative, but we will not accept an interpre¬tation of a hadeeth which is opposed to the clear text of the Holy Quran. So far as possible, we shall try to interpret a hadeeth so that it should be in accord with the clear text of the Book of Allah, but if we come across a hadeeth which is opposed to the text of the Holy Quran, and it cannot be interpreted in any other way, we would reject it as spurious, inasmuch as God, the Glorious, has said: In what discourse apart from Allah and His commandments will they believe? (45:7). This means that if the Holy Quran is conclusive and positive about a mat-ter and its meaning is clear, a believer should not accept a hadeeth which is clearly opposed to it. To the same effect is the verse: In what discourse thereafter will they believe (7:186)? According to these verses a believer must accept the Book of Allah without condition and should accept a hadeeth conditionally. This is my stand (Al-Haq Ludhiana, pp. 9-10).A person who is bestowed the understanding of the Quran by Divine grace, and who finds that a hadeeth is opposed to a verse of the Quran, should, out of respect, so far as it ispossible, so interpret the hadeeth as to bring it into accord with the Holy Quran, but if this is not pos-sible and cannot by any means be achieved, he should regard the hadeeth as spurious. This is better for us. We should seek an interpre-tation of a hadeeth which is not opposed to the Holy Quran, but if this should not be possible it would be heresy and disbelief that we should give up the Quran for the sake of ahadeeth, which have been conveyed to us by human hands and with regard to which it is not only a possibility, but a certainty, that they have got mixed up with human state-ments (Al-Haq Ludhiana, p. 19).

طلو ع الش “In the same way we believe that the sun will rise from the west. Howev-er, I have been shown in a dream that the meaning of the sun rising from the west is that the western countries which have been under darkness of disbelief and have lost their direction will be lightened with sun of the truth and they will get their share of Islam. I saw that I am in London city, where I am standing on a podium and I am making a speech in the English language giving strong arguments to establish the truth of Islam. After this, I caught many birds which were sitting on small tress. These birds were white in colour and their bodies were equal to the size of a partridge. So I interpreted in this way that perhaps not me, but my writing will spread in those people and many of the righteous English people will accept the truth of Is-lam. In fact, to date these western country have had little coloration with the truth of the reli-gion as if almighty Allah bestowed all the wisdom of the faith in Asia and gave all the worldly wisdom to Europe and America. Asia got the share of the chain of prophets throughout as well as the excellence of walaayat (sainthood). Now god almighty desires to show hi mercy upon these people.’’ (Izala e Auham, Roohani Khazain Vol.3 page 376-377)

Food Stall & Quran Exhibition at Village Fair in Oxshott 6th MAY 2013

Majlis West Hill capitalized another opportunity and organized a Qur’an Exhibition alongside a food stall in Oxshott Village Annual Fair. This was another way to attract people to the Tabligh stalls. All income from food stall was to be donated to Ansarullah Charity Walk 2013. A Quran Exhibition stall was organized in the fair ground. Along with the different translations on Quran, our Tabligh banners were also displayed. Prominent books of the Jama’at were also displayed. A table was set for free literature which included many leaflets and books.

The event started with the BBQ, the smell and smoke attracted people and it was not long after there was a very long queue at our BBQ. The people of Oxshott enjoyed the BBQ very much.

We also offered free of charge kebabs to our neighboring stall holders. We sold out stock well before the finishing time of the event. We were able to raise £200 for the Ansar charity event. Some Khuddam also actively participated in this event.

About 180 people visited the BBQ and bought food. Many more, around 380 also visited our Exhibition stall and took interest in Qur’anic Translations. Many people took free literature. This combination of BBQ and Quran Exhibition at one time was a very successful idea. May Allah Bless all those Ansar who actively participated in the event. LONDON REGION

London Region organised a Tabligh Day on Sunday the 12th May 2013. The purpose for this day was to introduce and convey our Jama’at message on bigger scale without spending too much money on arranging this sort of activity in any prominent Venue or Hall. It was decided that we will organized this event in The City of London and different parts of London. By the grace of Allah This Program was a successful event and we were able to get across to a large number of people. From the London Region 34 Ansar participated. Ansar gathered at Sarai Ansar and after silent prayer left for central London at 10.45 am and reached Oxford Street at 11.30 am. Ansar were split into two equal teams. 1- The first team was given the task of leaflet distribution at 8 different locations. 2- The second team was given the task of arranging 7 stalls at different points. This team consisted of Ansar with good English and good communication skills. Stalls were arranged in 6 different points between Oxford Street and Edgware Road. The first team was able to distribute 1400 mixed leaflets and 1500 charity walk leaflets. A total number of around 150 people visited our 6 Tabligh stalls. Response from visiting people was mixed. A Muslim brother from Saudi Arabia was very im-pressed and was given a good introduction of Jama’at. A Libyan brother gave his email for communication, because he cannot speak English. His email has been forwarded to the Arab desk because he is going back to his home country. An Arabian Muslim gentleman gave £15 to an accompanied Tifal at one of the stalls and hap-pily mentioned that you are working for a noble cause. Three Arab Muslim brothers were very aggressive towards us, but were fine after they were given answers to their questions with the introduction of Jama’at. Unfortunately, one person abused one of the Ansar at our stall. Overall this day was a successful day, thousands of peoples observed the stalls and have seen us distributing the leaflets. We finished the day at 5 pm. May Allah enable us to continue this work and efforts in future and May Allah bless all participants with the best of both worlds.
