Church Health Check-up
What is your evangelism strategy?
I hope part of your strategy includes conducting VBS in 2015. To get ahead of the game please reserve Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 8:00 am until noon for the VBS Clinic that will be held at IBSA.
If you would like to conduct a VBS at your church but you do not have enough workers or you cannot afford the materials please let me know. We will try to establish partnerships between our churches to help you implement a VBS. Please email me at [email protected] if you need help or if you would be willing to assist another church.
Did you know that you can save 15% on the cost of your VBS materials if you order them through CCBA? To take advantage of this opportunity, your order needs to be submitted to the CCBA office by noon on Monday, January 12 or by noon on Monday, March 30.
If you need assistance with evangelism, discipleship, Sunday School or other ministry needs, your CCBA Church Health team is willing to help. Please give us a call.

God has called us as his people to reach his people with the Gospel. How do we do that well? How do we reach the mission field that we live in and make an impact with the gospel message? One of the ways to get at our mission is to know our mission field and to prayer for laborers to reach that mission field. Email me or David to receive a link to use to help us develop a strategic plan for reaching our mission field. Would you take 10-15 minutes and answer the questions in the form. If you have any questions or ideas, please let me know. Opportunities for Growth:• Oct. 6 Send North America
(SNA) Experience, FBC Arnold, MO - Speaker David Platt
• Nov. 10 Plant Midwest, St. Louis – Speaker Jason Allen, President of MBTS. A group will be leaving the IBSA parking lot Nov. 10, 7:30 am and returning at 3:30 pm. Come join us. Register for the event at www.plantmidwest.com/registration/
• Aug 3-4, 2015 Send North America (SNA) Conference, Nashville, TN
• 8x8 Strategy: We need more churches to take a week and join us as we work along side Scott Cox and the Bridge in Lebanon. Email David or Charles if your church would like to participate. Sample Sunday, Nov. 23, 8 am - 3 pm at The Bridge and experience a church in its infancy. If you are planning to go please email, [email protected], or call, 217-529-3429, David Howard. Capital City’s Disaster Relief Unit was deployed to Warren, MI Aug, 25-31 for flood recovery. The Team consisted of 2 from CCBA, Don Durbin, Kincaid BC and David Howard; 1 from Sandy Creek BA, Gladys Eichelberger, First Southern Beardstown; 2 from Palestine BA, George & Penny Meese, New Hope BC and Michael Newell, Revive Community Church, Sinnissippi BA.The Facts:42 days 9 completed jobs350 hours 19 ministry contacts10 jobs 7 Bibles Presented10 chaplain encounters God was moving in Warren. According to the Koran, Muslims don’t have much use for Christians. It seems strange Muslims would allow Christian volunteers inside their homes to clean their basements and accept a gift Bible at the completion of the job. When the Imam’s (Muslim pastor) sister’s basement was cleaned and sanitized he wanted to show his appreciation. So at his direction the Mosque provided a Muslim meal for 130 DR volunteers. During the meal we were told that the Michigan Southern Baptist (MSB) were going to be allowed to set up a tent in one of the Islamic festivals. The MSB has tried to be a part of that event for years, now they can. Disaster Relief Volunteers never know how the work will be perceived or its impact on a community. Every year souls are saved from DR ministry. God used us to make a small crack in the Muslim community. It remains to be seen what will happen to that crack.
