operate in other countries - political, cultural, and ethical. Discuss in detail the specific environmental

differences and difficulties that Google face in china.

Answer:The political, cultural, and ethical differences between China and the U.S. regarding use of

the internet are very high. This two country is different in every aspect, some of them are shown below.

    Political:

    1. The People's Republic of China is a single-party state governed by the Communist Party of China, who wants to impose severe restrictions on internet use of the citizens.

    2. They want to stop the free flow of information, and they want to prevent revolution against thegovernment.

    3. Googles executives were called into Congressional hearings and accused of collaborating with arepressive Chinese regime by setting up Googles servers within China and complying with the

governments censorship policies.4. The Chinese government uses censorship as a political tool to control its people; however the

censorship is also a competitive tool a cudgel that private firms use to beat one another

    with.

    5. As far as freedom of speech is concerned, Zhao explained that its not the speech; itsorganizing even only just three of four people thats what they crackdown on.

    Cultural:

    1. People in china are different from other countries. They follow the rules and regulations set bygovernment. and most of the young are not willing to revolt against the law

    2. Internet censorship is very high on political matters but there is almost no concern for copyright, this affects the search engine providers.

    3. Mindset of the Chinese people is different. They dont want to cross the line to infuriate thegovernment and reprimanded. Those who do so, they are retaliated by the government very

    effectively.

    4. Those who understand Chinese culture and politics understand where the censorship lines aredrawn. Other examples of the interface of Chinese culture and technology, for example: Internet

sales are hampered by Chinas rudimentary banking system and the lack of a reliable credit-card

network, so that there is no easy way to receive payments from outside the country.

    5. Chinese businesspeople rarely rely on email because they consider leaving messages to besocially awkward; they feel they should leave live messages, so they prefer mobile phones and

short text messages. Online discussion boards are very popular; the Chinese like the many links

to chat rooms that the local search engines provide.
