J.A.M.M. Transit re-

ceived a federal

grant to purchase a

maintenance truck.

This is the first grant

awarded and re-

ceived of this type

through the Okla-

homa Department of

Transportation.

Tim Hurt was taking a dialysis rider home

when she passed out in her seat. He quickly

jumped into action and dialed 911, told them

where to meet him and pulled over

at the safest spot and

started performing CPR

until emergency

assistance arrived.

Tim’s quick actions

may have been the

only thing to save this

riders life.

Joseph Miranda spotted

a grass fire along South

Murray Avenue in Tisho-

mingo. He jumped out

of his vehicle with a fire

extinguisher and thanks

to him it did not get out

of control before the fire

department arrived.

Housing is an essential need for every individual, INCA offers resources to help fill the gap between finding and maintaining safe, de-cent housing and being able to afford it by offering housing counseling, advo-cacy, weatherization, energy education, affordable rental housing and homeless assistance.

After much work and anticipation

rehabilitation apartment in Johns-

ton County was completed in Feb-

ruary 2013. This addition of com-

pletely updated and rehabilitated

apartments helps fill the need of

multi-family rental housing in the

area. The INCA Apartments are

located at 211 S. 16th Street Manns-

ville, OK and offer 4 two bedroom

units, and 4 one bed room units.

INCA Career Opportunities is a program that provides resi-

dential and vocational opportunities to people with develop-

mental disabilities. Individuals are approved for the program

through the Oklahoma Department of Human Services'-

OKDHS DDSD-Developmental Disabilities Services Division

program.

In 2013 INCA Community Services, Inc. became 1 of only 3 agencies in the State of Oklahoma to be licensed to operate a Child Placement Agency. This landmark event makes it possible for children with developmental dis-abilities to be placed in a certified Agency Companion home through INCA by DDSD/DHS. This certification is in addition to the one already in place for adults placement. This has opened up new opportunities for the program to expand into other counties since INCA is the only agency to hold this license in the area.

The Affordable Care Act includes a variety of provisions designed to pro-mote accountability, affordability, quality and accessibility in the health care system. The affordable Care Act creates new competitive private health insurance marketplaces call the Affordable Insurance Exchange or "Exchange" that will provide millions of Americans and small businesses with access to affordable coverage. Exchanges will help individuals and small employers shop for, select, and enroll in qualified health plans. Ex-changes will also assist eligible individuals to receive premium tax credits and cost sharing reductions or help individuals enroll in other federal and state health care programs such as Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). By providing one stop shopping, Exchanges will make purchasing health insurance easier and more understandable than in the past and will put greater control and greater choice in the hands of eligible individuals and small businesses. The Marketplace open enrollment starts October 1st 2013, and ends March 31st, 2014.

Navigators will provide accu-

rate and impartial assistance

to consumers shopping for cov-

erage in the new Marketplace,

including consumers who are

not familiar with health insur-

ance, have limited English pro-

ficiency, or are living with a

disability.
