School Painting

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” · Nelson Mandela

Being able to contribute with one of the local schools is an amazing way to spend a day in Costa Rica. From early in the morning, right after a delicious breakfast this experience will take you to one of the local schools, where your group will be split in teams, ranging from 4 to 10 participants, depending on the size of the whole group.

Activities during this day allow visitors to paint part of the school (with the assistance of a professional painter), who will help during the paint prepara-tion process and aiding each of the groups involved during the classroom painting process. During this time, visitors will be able to interact and enjoy the company of the children in the school. Simultaneously, the teams will also assist one of the three different available hydration posts for all the groups, where a light lunch will also be available for all participants to enjoy.

At the end of this activity, a special surprise will be prepared by the school children; a show with Guanacaste’s regional music (with marimbas), dances and costumes.

Community Team Building

Team building activities have been developed to improve and strengthen the relationship between co-workers in an attempt to achieve goals within the organization.

Groups of all sizes can all take advantage of these sessions through activities like “Bike or Playground Building”, while at the same time cooperate with the local communities by providing these “special gifts” for the local children right around Christmas! The link generated between the group and the community is so strong that some of the participants have continued to help these rural schools even months after they’ve returned to their homes.

Cinema Sharing Day

Most of the children in these rural areas have very limited access (or no access at all) to this type of entertainment, mostly due to distance, economic difficulties or other particular reasons. Bringing the kids together and giving them the possibility to watch a movie in a huge screen, with amazing sound and the whole cinema experience will absolutely blow their mind.

A bus departs from the selected school with the kids to the movie theater as their final destination. At the same time, participants for this activity will also be taken from their hotel lobby to the movie theater, where they will finally meet the kids and enjoy time with them having delicious hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries and soft drinks after the movie (and popcorn during the movie).

Community Mural Painting

Carlos Hiller, a local artist will engage all participants while painting an artistic mural. This activity enables a empathy between the participants and the assigned children to produce a tangible outcome that will be appreciated and remembered by children for a long time and to have images to remember this activity.

The mural is a graphic representation of the marine wildlife present in the area. A few days before the visit, the artist (Carlos Hiller) will visit the school and lecture the kids in areas such as marine an environmental conservation. He will ask the children to choose different marine animals, and provide them with paper and pencils for them to draw these animals. Two days later these drawings are collected and later used to create blank silhouettes of the animals that will be portrayed throughout the mural. These images will be painted by the kids, each one of them painting the one they drew on paper a couple days before in a team with one of the adult participants of this activity.

The final result is amazing and the children have always felt impressed when looking at the artwork they were contributing to create. When children enjoy their activities, adults can easily feel that happiness atmosphere.

Sport Deep Sea Fishing– Catch & Release

Fishing areas in the Costa Rican Pacific coast are divided roughly into the Northern, Central and Southern, with conditions varying with the seasons. Guanacaste is part of the Northern Pacific and the Gulf of Papagayo particularly noteworthy. Other spots like the Gulf of Nicoya, Flamingo and Guanamar in Playa Carrillo, dot the western coastline.

This area is affected by strong winds that normally blow late December into March and April, called “Papagayo Winds”; making boats to often base at Carrillo beach, if the wind is blowing and the main billfish population is moving north from the central coastal area.

Other species common to these waters are: ‘Dorado’, commonly known as Dolphin, Marlins, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Tuna and Wahoo.

Our fishing boats are fully equipped with all the tools you need to enjoy a great day of deep sea fishing in Costa Rica and to complete the image, snacks, fruit, soft drinks, lunch and water equipment is also available during easily schedulable half a day or full day tours.
