WALES TOUR Day 1 – INFLIGHT/LHR/LONDON Arrive at London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport.

Meet and greet by Sports Travel South West representative and the Executive style Tourbus and Driver, the Tourbus will be with you for the duration of the Tour. Check into the Hotel for 3 nights on a B&B basis. Rest of day at leisure exploring London

Day 2 – LONDON Breakfast Morning training session at local club.

The Tourbus will take you into central London for a panoramic sightseeing tour, taking in Buckingham Palace, St James Palace, Horseguards Parade, Trafalgar Square, 10, Downing Street, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, London Eye etc etc (no entry included). Return Riverboat sightseeing tour (included) from Westminster Pier to Tower Bridge, alight at Tower Bridge to explore Tower Bridge and The Tower of London (optional extra), the historic Tower is the home of the English “Crown Jewels”, and a scene of many executions throughout the ages. The Tower is looked after by the famous “Beefeaters” in their traditional uniforms, see the cells and dungeons, where nobility and Royalty were imprisoned often prior to execution. Nazi Rudolph Hess was the last prisoner to be held in the Tower, it is now purely an historic monument with many tales to tell. Return by Ferry to the Pier in the shadow of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. The tourbus will park up on the Thames Embankment, giving easy access by foot to Westminster, The River, Covent Garden and the West End of London (entertainment area) Return to Hotel for the night.

Day 3 - LONDON Breakfast Morning sightseeing tour to Twickenham Stadium home of England Rugby Union, and Headquarters of the Rugby Football Union and the RFU Museum (optional extra). MATCH DAY 1 v London Suburbs Rugby Football Club After-match reception with your host club. Return to Hotel Day 4 - LONDON/CARDIFF

Breakfast Transfer along the M4 Motorway and across the spectacular Severn Bridge into the “Principality of Wales” to the Capital City of Cardiff. Stopping en route at the historic Georgian/Roman City of Bath, one of Englands greatest tourist attractions, this City breaths history wherever you walk in it’s narrow cobbled streets and alleyways! Your opportunity to visit Bath Abbey, The Roman Baths, Pulteney Bridge, Bath Rugby Club, The magnificent Crescent with it’s large Georgian Houses once occupied by nobility and grandeur, finishing off at the Assembly Rooms, where in regency times one would have encountered the Prince of Wales (Prince Regent) Jane Austen and George “Beau” Brummell the Regency “Dandy” who charmed many ladies of noble birth, with his good looks, wit and eye for a chance!

On arrival in Cardiff Check into Hotel for 3 nights.

Day 5 – CARDIFF Breakfast

Morning at leisure exploring Cardiff, maybe a trip to the newly restored Cardiff Bay area or a walk in the grounds or on the ramparts of Cardiff Castle, Llandaff Cathedral or the thriving and vibrant city centre!

MATCH DAY 2 v Local Rugby Football Club After-match reception with host club. Return to hotel.

Day 6 – CARDIFF Breakfast Morning at leisure in Cardiff MATCH DAY 3 v Local Rugby Football Club Day 7 – CARDIFF/SWANSEA Breakfast

Transfer to the great Welsh seaside town of Swansea, travelling up the historic Rhondda Valley, the heart of the now defunct coal mining industry, hot bed of Rugby Union, here you will meet the real Welshmen and their families, tough resilient people but warm and friendly.

Day 8 – SWANSEA Breakfast

Tourbus transfer to Cardiff (1 hour) to savor the unique pre match atmosphere that only a match at Cardiff can provide, mingle amongst the crowds of supporters, in the bars and clubs surrounding the Millennium Stadium. The air of expectancy grips you, before a 6 nation match, especially the rendering of the Welsh National Anthem, guaranteed to bring a tear to the eye!

Evening at leisure still savouring the atmosphere in Cardiff or Swansea City centre! Day 9 – SWANSEA Breakfast

Morning at leisure in Swansea, maybe a run on the beach, a trip to the neighbouring Mumbles and Oystermouth Castle or The nearby Gower peninsular with it’s magnificent scenery and spectacular beaches, or the steel town of nearby Llanelli home of The Scarlets. Rugby history is all around you, with names like Delme Thomas, Barrie John, Phil Bennett and Derek Quinnell just to name a few, still living locally and always around and about the town. Memories of great victories by the Llanelli Club over the All Blacks and Australians still linger.

MATCH DAY 4 v Local Rugby Football Club After-match reception with your hosts.

Day 10 – LHR/INFLIGHT Breakfast Tourbus transfer back to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airports a

journey of about 2 hours 30 minutes. If time allows stopping off at the historic Roman/Georgian City of Bath or Windsor Castle, which is near

to the Airport.
