As Real As it GetsThe simulated surgical and restorative mannequins are the nearest thing to working on an actual human patient as it gets. The mannequins have teeth that

can be extracted, tissues that can be sutured, periosteum, sinuses, cortical and cancellous bone, as well as mandibles with a blood supply and innervations.

Incorporating Dental ImplantsInto Your PracticeAt the Zimmer Biomet Institute Training Facility

AboutNew York University College of Dentistry and the Zimmer Biomet Institute team up to bring to you this extraordinary learning experience. With the knowledge and expertise of NYU instructors along with the “state-of-the-art” facilities at the Zimmer Biomet Institute in Parsippany, New Jersey, you will receive the knowledge, skills and confidence that are essential to a successful implant practice.

This comprehensive three-day program is designed to provide you with lectures, lab observation, and hands-on instruction on simulated-patient mannequins in a step-by-step format. Each learning station is equipped with a computer for accessing reference materials and has all simulated patient materials, including: radiographs, CT scans, and models that are specific for the exercises. The mannequins feature soft tissue and “bone” that have cortical and cancellous layers, soft tissue-lined sinuses and “wired” inferior alveolar nerves. The mannequins are designed to provide participants with a sense of treating a live patient.

Course Overview

“The instructors were able to teach at our level instead of showing us the most advanced

cases they’ve done. The content was very relatable and I’m leaving

feeling much more comfortable with implant dentistry as a whole instead of feeling overwhelmed

and intimidated.”
