Educational institutions today face increasing financial pressures.

P-CardAdvantages

From the strain of budget cuts to cumbersome purchasing processes that take up valuable time and resources, many leaders in education are struggling with: • Stretched budgets and increasing costs• Unpredictable cash flow • Long procurement processes that hold up purchases• Inefficient expense tracking• Reporting requirements that are difficult to maintain

Monitor cash flow, extend float and set spendingcontrols with your P-Card.

Now, thanks to the convenience and ease-of-use of P-Cards, many institutions like yours are realizing time and money savings. With the American Express® Corporate Purchasing Card, you can proactively monitor and manage your account online to gain control over your expenses. By consolidating your charges using the P-Card, you can decrease the volume of paper invoices while reducing the number of checks you cut monthly. And, you can gain up to 29 days additional float. The number of days by which you extend your float will depend on when during your American Express Card billing cycle you charge a transaction to a supplier. The date the transaction is posted to your account, and the date you pay the amounts due on your American Express billing statement will determine the number of days you can extend your float, which can be as much as up to 29 days.

The P-Card also allows you to set spending limits per transaction,by monthly allocations or other budgetary limits, and receive electronic notifications when approaching spending limits. And you can evaluate the effectiveness of controls you set with comprehensive spending reports.
