1. This statement made by me accurately sets out the evidence which I would be prepared, if necessary, to give in Court as a witness. The statement is true to the best of my knowledge and belief, and I make it knowing that, if it is tendered in evidence, I shall be liable to prosecution if I have wilfully stated in it anything, which I know to be false or do not believe to be true.

2. I am 39 years of age.

3. Iam currently an Uber Driver but studying for my heavy vehicle driver licence.

4. I have a current security licence but have not worked in security since late 2017 at the Western Sydney University working for S International Group (SIG) as a subcontractor to Paragon Risk.

5. I commenced working for SIG in 2011 who was subcontracted to GLAD security, SecureCorp and Paragon Risk at various stages.

6. I have only worked at the University of Sydney on rare occasions up to seven shifts over a number of years on a casual ad hoc basis for SIG. I was asked by Tommy SIROUR from SIG to undertake new guard training at the University. This involved working 2 day and 2 night shifts for patrol. I was not interested in working at the University but Tommy told me I would be paid for the training and I was happy to do this.

7. After undertaking the training I did the rare static shift I recall this was approximately 3 shifts at most, one at Fisher library and two shifts for a protest at Alpha 14 building on the main campus. I worked 2 weeks with Multiworks as a bus driver with the University of Sydney more recently. I am aware that ICAC went to the University of Sydney sometime in April 2018 and my bus driver shifts occurred after this under Multi works.

8. When I did do shifts at the University of Sydney I would go straight to the control room and a team leader would buzz me in through the security door. I did not have an access card to the control room. The team leader would tell me what shift I had been allocated and I would sign the time sheet.

9. The time sheet was located in front of the team leaders’ desks. I recall the team leaders were Frank, Amyna and Kerem. I remember Emir being the site supervisor. I am unsure but perhaps George and Mina were also team leaders as they were in the control room. I am unable to recall their full names.

10. When signing in, 1 would be required to sign in the site timesheet my name, security licence number, my signature and a description of my shift. I am aware that this is a requirement for signing in and I did this at every site I worked at. When leaving after the shift I then sign out on the timesheet.

11. SIG’s procedure for guards was to email or send by text Lynn in SIG’s office their hours worked for the week. This was in addition to the site timesheet being completed.

12. In relation to payments for a shift I usually did 20 hours on book and payment for this would go straight into my account. Any additional hours worked would be paid to me in cash. This is very common in the security industry.

13. All my cash payments would be picked up either by myself or another guard from SIG’s Mascot office on Wednesday on a weekly basis.

14. I was not aware until spoken to by ICAC Investigators that some guards may have been using other security guards names and licence numbers to claim additional shifts. To my knowledge no-one was using my name to claim additional shifts.

15. I was asked by ICAC Investigators whether I worked any security guard / patrol shifts at the University of Sydney between 22 and 28 August 2016. I do not recall working at the University at this time. I have never worked at the Kirkbride campus and cannot recall an SCA protest.

16. I was shown a number of University of Sydney site timesheets by ICAC investigators. The sections where my name appeared were highlighted in yellow. In relation to these timesheets I can say:

• For the site timesheet of Sunday 28 August 2016 my name and security licence number appears. However, the name on the site timesheet is not in my writing, the signature that appears is not my signature and I have never worked at Kirkbride.

• For the site timesheet of Friday 26 August 2016 the name “Islam Ali” appears with my security licence number. However, this name on the site timesheet is not in my writing, the signature that appears is not my signature.

• For the site timesheet of Wednesday 24 August 2016 my name and security licence number appears. However, the name on the site timesheet is not in my writing, the signature that appears is not my signature and I have never worked at Kirkbride.

• For the site timesheet of Tuesday 23 August 2016 my name appears but there is no security licence number. I always note down my security licence number on site timesheets. The name on the site timesheet is not in my writing, the signature that appears is not my signature.

• For the site timesheet of Sunday 30 October 2016 my name appears but there is no security licence number. I always note down my security licence number

• For the site timesheet of Friday 23 December 2016 my name appears but there is no security licence number. I always note down my security licence number on site timesheets. The name on the site timesheet is not in my writing, the signature that appears is not my signature. At this time I remember working at the University of Western Sydney Quakers Hill campus.

• For the site timesheet of Saturday 15 July 2017 my name appears but there is no security licence number or signature. I always note down my security licence number and place my signature on site timesheets. The name on the site timesheet is not in my writing, the signature that appears is not my signature. I recall in July 2017 that 1 was working at Bondi. I was shown a personal timesheet that I sent from my personal email address to SIG on Sunday 16 July 2017 which shows that I was working in Bondi on Saturday 15 July 2017 from the hours 1730 to 730.

17. I showed ICAC investigators my drivers licence which contains my signature. ICAC investigators took a photocopy of my drivers licence for the purpose of this statement. This is what my signature would look like on a timesheet.

18. I was not aware that my name was being used on site timesheets by other security staff at the University of Sydney and did not give anyone permission to use my name.

19. I have known Taher Sirour otherwise known as Tommy since I started working at the World Square site in 2011 or 2012.

20. I am a friend of Taymour Elredi and his brother I have known them for around 3 or 4 years. In late 2017 or early 2018 Taymour asked me to cash cheques for him when Taymour was not able to do this. I understood that this was in order to get payment for S1G guards. I agreed to this. Taymour would pay me $ 100 to do this. Taymour gave me two cheques. One cheque would accompany a piece of paper with guards’ names and account details for depositing cash into their accounts. I would hand the cheque and the piece of paper to the bank teller, the teller would call Taymour for approval and then the teller would deposit the money into the accounts. The other cheque would accompany instructions of a cash withdrawal. I would take the cash that was withdrawn to the Rockdale office.

21. I did deliver cash from bank to the office three times because Taymour needed someone he could trust to deliver the cash. I can’t recall the address of the Rockdale office. There was no sign at the Rockdale office door but I understood it to be linked to Pharaohs and SIG. 1 recall seeing two Asian girls who I thought were SIG employees. I think one of them was named Maggie.

22. I felt uncomfortable doing the cash withdrawals and deposits from the very beginning. After the third time I told Taymour I did not want to do it anymore. Taymour said it was up to me.

23. Attached to this statement are annexures being:

A. University of Sydney site timesheets that were shown to me by ICAC officers during the interview and which contains my name.

B. My personal timesheet dated 16 July 2017 sent by email from my personal email address to SIG

C. A photocopy of my drivers licence.
