But afterwards they must write down 5 words that they do not understand. They write it in a piece of paper. Hopefully this will encourage them to always find something new and do a simple research it themselves.

Independent Learning Strategies Reflection JournalIn this strategy, the pupils were given worksheets to do on, after finishing it. They will write up a simple reflection journal on what are their thoughts and feelings about it. This strategy are useful for parents to get to know what is going on inside their heads. For the children, an important tool to express their thoughts.

Independent Learning Strategies MemorizationIn this strategy, the pupils are given time to read the text. After their time is up, the teachers will ask some of the words from the text and write it down. This will encourage pupils to learn new words while trying to memorize the words that they find suitable for them.
