EASYBATCH is a the traditional gain-in-weight batch blender, designed to dose and blend multiple components in sequence for all processes where constant gravimetric feeding and an homogeneous mix is required.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

> Gain-in-weight batch blender.

> Each ingredient is metered in sequence by slide gate valves in the weighing hopper mounted on two load cells.

> Once the pre-set batch weight has been reached, the load cell sends a signal and the batch is unloadedinto the weighing mixing chamber combining the batch and the Loss In Weight technology.

MAIN FEATURES

EXTRUSION CONTROLThe mixer is mounted on two load cells and measure the LIW, controlling the extrusion throughput with continuous accuracy.

CLEANING Easy clean thanks to the drain spout installed on each hopper compartment allowing for a fast product changeover, avoiding the risk of waste and product contamination.

DOSING CAPACITYDue to the different dosing ratios each component can be switched in future from low to high dosing rates.Just simply changing the ratio enables the user to change the dosing capacity.

SYDOS is a continuous loss in weight gravimetric dosing system designed to dose and feed multiple components simultaneously in all processes in which a constant gravimetric feed is required. Each hopper and material is weighed by two off-center load cells.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

> Continuous loss-in-weight metering.

> Measurement of weight loss of the main component.

> Measurement of weight loss of the secondarycomponents.

> The secondary components are continuously andsimultaneously metered into the feed throatadaptor via auger screws where they combine withthe main component.

> The main component is gravity fed with theadditives and the loss in weight is monitored viaload cell on the main hopper.

CLEANING Easily cleaned and a fast production change over SYDOS has all the side component gravimetric hoppers removable, so blender cleaning and production changeover has never been so fast and easy for an operator.

ACCURACY AND VIBRATIONSYDOS has 2 loads cells for each component to negate vibration and to have better stability and improve the accuracy of dosing. Also all the loads cell are protected so the operator cannot damaged them.

MODULARITY

SYDOS is prearranged to work with up to 7 components.Both mechanically and electrically SYdos can be upgraded easily in future up to 7 components as both the dosing system itself and the PLC are pre-prepared.

SYDOS uses as standard, ac brushless ABB motors with a wide operating window. These motors are socket connected so in case of failure no lengthy unwiring is needed. The screw is very easily removed for cleaning.

SYBLEND is a continuous loss in weight gravimetric blender designed to blend multiple components simultaneously for all processes where a homogeneous mix is critical to achieving an excellent final product. It meets all the need of a highly demanding process as per BCF, FDY and POY. Each hopper and material is weighed by two off-center load cells.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

> Loss in weight measurement of each ingredient.

> All the ingredients are continuously andsimultaneously metered directly in the integrated-weigh collection hopper through a cascade mixer.

> The weight of the material metered in the collectionhopper is constantly measured in order to detectthe level variations due to changes in the extruderthroughput or a discrepancy between the componentfeeder and the extruder throughput.

> The feeders are individually controlled in order toreach and maintain the preset metering ratios andto maintain a constant level in the collection hopper.

MODULARITY

VIBRO FEEDER & POWDER STATION

SYBLEND is prearranged to work up to 6 components.Both mechanically and electrically SYBLEND can be upgraded easily in future up to 6 components as both the blender itself and the PLC are pre-prepared.

SYBLEND can also be supplied with a vibro feeder to one of the metering units to guarantee very small amounts can be dosed with a very high accuracy.

A mini vibro dedicated feeder can be guarantee to run down to as low as 50 g/h and thanks to the special cascade design of the SYBLEND mixer, the blend will be kept perfectly homogenous.

SYBLEND can also be supplied with a twin screw feeder to one of the metering unit to guarantee very small amounts can be dosed with a very high accuracy. A twin screw dedicated feeder can be guarantee to eun down to as low as 50 g/h and thank to the special cascade design of the SYBLEND mixer, the blend will be kept perfectly homogenous.

SYLINK is a centralized vacuum loading system and it is an alternative to single unit loaders. It is designed to automatically feed more than one extrusion machine, efficiently and functionally solving the problems involved in raw material distribution.

SYNCRO has developed stand alone and centralised conveying systems to be automatically integrated into all the SYNCRO Family of blenders. Based on commercial modular PLC electronics, this ensures simple integration of all SYNCRO machines. SYNET is a standalone centralized vacuum loading system and it is an alternative to SYLINK when SYNCRO blender are nor supplied or just simply when multiple lines have to be fed.With either SYLINKor SYNET, different types of pumps can be chosen according to the output, number of lines, number of components and distances from the silos.

FLYER, is the new automatic air ring designed for high efficiency and high output.Elevators lift up the automatic upper four lip air ring almost doubling the line throughput while improving physical proprieties of the film as per tear, haze, elongation and especially dart drop.

When FLYER is raised to the upper position where the bubble expansion is greater, it provides efficient cooling over a larger surface area.

FLYER provides segmented airflow to localized areas around the blown film bubble through the air ring while stabilizing the film exit due to the fourth special downward lip.This automatic thickness improvement system offers simplicity and state-of-the-art visualization giving the highest operational reliability.

MANIFOLD

Born from the experiences of the previous model SYproAUTO the new TYPHOON Air Ring represents the “state of the art” for an Air Ring with Auto Profile Control.The thickness measuring system is integrated into the supervision software and supplies TYPHOON with the measurement profiles.

When measuring a point having a thickness higher than the set tolerance, the stepper motor will decrease the air flow in the corresponding segment, thus reducing the film thickness, equally, when measuring a point with a thickness lower than the tolerance, the air flow is increased in order to increase the film thickness.Also Available with a single entrance carbon fibre chamber.

INSTALLATION

The Measurement systems send the profile data to software that calculates and manage the positioning of the actuators.

The actuators are controlling a segmented air flows that will be modified following the profile to be adjust. This air flow influence the melt temperature and in turn the film thickness during film blowing step.

In the FLYER air rings and internal cooling devices VORTYX, Syncro looks for the “coexistence” between elements that seem to be in perpetual conflict and incompatible with each other: turbulence and stability.

SYIBC is designed to automatically control and manage blower balance while coordinating all blower control functions.

SYIBC is equipped with #3 or more ultrasonic distance sensors installed on the bottom part of the cage, on movable arms to keep the gap constant between sensor and bubble. #3 or more additional ultrasonic distance sensors (optional) can be installed above the cage where the bubble is already formed to control lay flat and automatic opening/closing of the cage. #1 Temperature compensation ultrasonic sensors is installed at a fixed distance.This sensor provides a fixed reference to the others in order to compensate the ambient temperature variations.

OPTICAL SENSOR

The optical sensor is based on low coherence interferometry.

The material is illuminated with a broadband near-infrared light source; part of this light is reflected at the air/material interface (measurement r1).

Part of the light that travels through the material is then reflected due to the material/air boundary (measurement r2) and it goes back toward the receiver.

The optical head collects both r1 and r2 and makes it possible to obtain the difference between the two measurements.

The resulting optical signal intensity has an oscillatory component with a frequency f, called optical thickness, given by f = 2nd, where d is the thickness and n is the refractive index of the material.

Measuring f and knowing n, the thickness d can be obtained with high accuracy.

The refractive index is a characteristic that is well-known for a large number of plastic materials.

The sensor can be used to measure total thickness of materials for which the component r2 has sufficient optical intensity to provide the interference signal, like transparent or semi-transparent materials; coloured material can also be measured under certain conditions.

The RAYXSCAN uses an X ray beam transmission through the homogeneous material to be measured, from which it can measure the thickness, usually shown in mm or the weight shown in [g/m2].An X-ray source is situated in a housing, while another housing contains the receiver and is positioned opposite the transmitter at a set distance (Gap).The film runs between the transmitter and receiver and the two housings containing the transmitter and receiver run across the web width.

When a homogeneous layer of material is positioned between the transmitter and receiver, part of the energy transmitting to the receiver is absorbed by the material.The energy measured by the receiver is attenuated and compared to the energy without the material and allowing for the material physical proprieties the system can calculate the ratio between the attenuation and the material weight.

Following the regulations EURATOM 96/29, RaYxscan is not considered a radioactive source because the tension on the anode is lower than 5 kV, for this reason this scanner does not need to follow the radio protection regulations and hence a safety certificate is not necessary.

SYNTROL GAUGE is the SYNCRO auto die system to control automatically the thermal bolts used on flat dies to regulate the film/sheet thickness via mechanical manipulation of the flat die lip.Due to the smart control, special die mapping will allow the system to compensate for material neck-in, neck-out and bump profiling to achieve the tightest gauge control and hence the best product.

SYNTROL GAUGE auto profile control is also suitable for use on blown film lines.It can be interfaced on to an OEM die with thermal cartridge heaters to modify the die lip opening/closing according to the target thickness, can be supplied along with the Syncro quenching AUTO flex lip control or it can be interfaced to automatic air rings with internal cartridge heaters installed to control the gauge via the air temperature set by the target thickness.

SYNTROL GAUGE is based on commercial modular PLC electronics and ensures simple, practical operation by providing the operator with all the information required to operate the system clearly and intuitively using touch screen HMI on board. In a blown film application it would be controlled andconnected to any of the SYNCRO gauging systems.
