territories and its capital is New Delhi.

• The number of languages spoken in India are 438

• It is the largest democracy in the world by population

• India got its independence on August 15th, 1947 from the rule of the British.

• The number system, Zero, Chess were invented by Indians

• In India’s 100,000 years of history, it has never invaded any other country

• The earliest cotton in the world was spun and woven in India. The Roman emperors would wear delicate cotton from India.

What is Rangoli?Rangoli is a traditional Indian Art.

Most houses in India, especially in the Southern part of India, have a Rangoli in front of their house.

It is drawn by the women of the house early in the morning. No festival is complete without the beautiful motif on the floor. What a beautiful way to welcome the visitor!!
