AP+ TS- Yield ( Kg/Ha)• Rabi is principally cultivated as Paddy fallow or Cotton fallow and in Kharifmajorly cultivated as a rainfed crop. Coastal pocket of Andhra is distinguished as the highest per day productivity of Corn
• With labor being intensive, farmers are incurring huge cost towards weeding operation in the form of herbicides and manual weeding but unable to get proper control
• Early shoot borer is the other important pest for which no proper control is being imparted. The ROI is good under assured irrigation but bit challenging under rainfedconditions.
• Farmers are looking for mechanized sowing and harvesting in near future.

• Corn Growth Drivers In North India - Ensuring MSP and grain procurement
at harvest
- Installation of driers to dry the grains just after harvest for storage
- Extension program to close yield gap between potential Yield of hybrids and at Farmer’s field (Agronomic recommendation implementation).
