• Recognized as the 17th International MEDLARS Centre or Indian MEDLARS Centre (IMC)

• Providing information from various biomedical information Net resources including MEDLINE

• Support services include documentation support services (Union Catalogue and NLM’s DOCLINE); training & user awareness programmes

• Designed & developed IndMED IndMED database in 1998 - Bibliographic database of peer reviewed Indian “non-Medline” Indian biomedical journals; coverage from 1985 onwards

• Full-text version of IndMED launched in 2003 – medINDmedIND currently has 37 full-text journals. Also covers full-text of Medline journals (Indian)

• Prospective coverage from 2003 onwards and retrospective from 2000; archiving to commence shortly

• Designed on similar lines as NLM’s MEDLINE

• Bibliographic information including abstracts

• Articles indexed using MeSH; free text search; use of AND, OR, NOT operators
