What is GCP?
GCP is an international ethical and scientific qualitystandard for designing, conducting, recording andreporting trials that involve the participation ofhuman subjects.
Who should attend?
Both the senior faculties, junior faculties or the PGstudents (Medical) who are conducting a clinicalresearch or guide of a thesis which involves humansubjects, should go for this workshop. EthicsCommittee members are also supposed to go forthis workshop.
Why should you attend this Workshop on Good Clinical Practice?
•This is a regulatory requirement to know GCP ifyou are involved in clinical trial/ research study onhuman subjects.
•Many Ethics committee do not accept anyresearch proposal if the Investigator is not GCPcertified.
•National Workshop with National level faculties.

How to reach Burdwan?
Burdwan is about 95 km by train and 100 km by road (Durgapur Expressway/ NH2) from Kolkata.
From Kolkata airport, one can get SBSTC bus or taxi which takes 2 hours to reach Burdwan.
If you are reaching late in the evening, it is better to take taxi (like Ola outstation) to reach Burdwan
From Howrah Railway station, it is 90-150 min by train.
Where to stay?
There are number of basic hotels and lodges in Burdwan where you can get a basic non A/C room starting form Rs. 500-700 and A/C room at approximately Rs. 1000/-. All such basic hotels are within 2 km from the venue. Sinclairs resort is 3* luxury resort approximately 3 km from the venue.
Limited number of “paid accommodation” may be available in the campus guest house subject to prior permission of the Principal, Burdwan Medical College.
