Indiana Bar Exam

The two-day Indiana bar exam contains three (3) components:

(1) Two 90-minute Multistate Performance Test (MPT) questions: “Closed universe”practical problem using instructions, factual data, cases, statutes and other referencematerial supplied by examiners.

(2) Six Indiana essay questions selected from the following subjects:

Business Organizations (Agency, Corporations, LLCs, and Partnerships)Commercial Law (Commercial Paper, Sales, and Secured Transactions)Indiana Constitutional LawFamily LawPleading and PracticePersonal PropertyTaxation (Federal and State)Wills, Trusts & Estates

(3) The Multistate Bar Exam (MBE) consisting of 200 multiple choice questions coveringthe following subjects: Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure,Evidence, Property, and Torts. Civil Procedure will be added in February 2015.

The three tests are weighted as follows: MPT 20%, Indiana Essay Exam 30%, MBE 50%. The passing score is a combined scaled score of 264.
