DISTRICT GOVERNOR TOM POLK
DG Tom and wife, Lion Kim live in LaFontaine, IN (pronounced
“LA- Fountain”). LaFontaine is a small rural community about
as far south in the district as possible. They have one son, Li-
on Stephan.
DG Tom graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in 1983.
DG Tom started and owned his own technology business for
several years and then sold that company to a larger firm.
Last year he left that company and went to work for a large
optometry/ophthalmology practice managing their technical
staff and technology services. This has provided DG Tom a
large amount of experience in management of various areas
of business. DG Tom and Lion Kim are active at their church
and enjoy being out in nature – fishing or just walking in the
woods.
DG Tom and Lion Kim joined Lions in 2008 and are members
of the LaFontaine Lions. DG Tom has served as club President
and as a Zone Chair. DG Tom is especially engaged with vision
screening and the new diabetes programs from Lions Clubs
International.

DISTRICT 25-G VISION, MISSION & GOALS
Vision Statement District 25G will lead the way in service to our local communities and
the world around us. Our clubs will look for new and innovative ways
to engage existing members and to attract new members.
Mission Statement District 25G will strive to provide services to our communities that has
purpose and impact on them. We will focus globally in the areas of
vision, hunger, environment, pediatric cancer and diabetes.
District Motto We Serve with a Purpose!
Goals District clubs will either support or place a Little Free Library in the com-
munity that they serve.
Assist in the rebuilding any club that has less than 15 members get back
to that level.
Start 1 new club in the district
Have positive membership growth
Have all clubs report activities on a monthly basis.
Increase club participation at the district level by 25%
