Day Activity

30-Apr Leave for Manaus, Brazil; Meet early morning at Louisville International Airport,

arrive Manaus late evening, go directly to riverboat holds 18 passengers and runs with 4 crew

members. Has 7 air-conditioned cabins with beds, 4 are suites (with their own toilet and

shower), the other 3 use a shower room and bathroom in the corridor.

1-May Breakfast 7 AM

AM Bosque da Ciencia

PM Jardim Botanico Adolpho Ducke

2-May Breakfast 7 AM, Manus. Small boat exploration of flora and fauna

3-May Breakfast 7 AM, Snorkeling in submerged forest. Evening bird watching

4-May Breakfast 7 AM, Visit native people village; Feed pink Dolphins

5-May Breakfast 7 AM, Aid in research to capture turtles with trammel nets,

6-May Breakfast 7 AM, Docked Barcelo, traveled up river to native village and set more turtle

traps.

8-May Breakfast 7 AM, Meeting of the waters of Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes head waters of

the Amazon

9-May Manaus- Breakfast 7 AM and store luggage

AM City Tour

PM visit Mercado Adolpho Lisboa; after dinner leave for airport from boat

10-May Manaus – Flight leaves just after midnight on the 9th for SDF arrive mid-afternoon
