Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAP) : To get such benefit under IGNOAP Scheme the beneficiaries should fulfill the following criteria. The age of the applicant (male or female) shall be 65 years or above. The applicant must be a destitute in the sense of having little or no regular means of subsistence from his /her own source of income or through financial support from family members or other sources.( must be below poverty line) To get such benefit the beneficiaries have to apply in the prescribed form to the Block Development Officers. The Sub-Collectors sanction pension in favour of the beneficiaries on the recommendation of the B.D.O concerned. Rs. 200/- is being paid as pension to the beneficiaries per month. Central Govt. bears all the expenditure on this programme. Pension is being paid to the beneficiaries on the fixed date on which M.B.P.Y is being disbursed to the beneficiaries. The target fixed for Dhenkanal District is to cover 15459 beneficiaries.
