The Nationals Team Showcase is a set of individual and team competitions that gets each player and a coach involved. The Nationals Team Showcase includes the following events:

OVERALL TEAM SCOREAt the completion of all the events, the team with the highest overall score in their age group will be crowned the Nationals Team Showcase Champion. The overall Team Score is based on the average finish of your team’s players in the events. A player is awarded a certain amount of Team Points based on where they finish in their event. Following is an example of the Nationals Team Showcase for the 9u division.

Participants are competing for their overall team score in each individual event. Notice that Brett had the best 60 Yard Dash time which resulted in his team (Toronto Reds) being awarded 10 points to go towards their Overall Team Score.

When players tie in any of the events, they will receive the point value associated with their place finished. Notice Dillon and Steve

tied for 4th with ten homeruns hit. They both will receive 4th place point to go towards their Team’s Overall Score.

The Around the Horn competition being an event that uses 8 players per team, the point value will be doubled. The Around the

Horn will be the last event of each age group before a winner is crowned. The Around the Horn will have a Championship type

atmosphere, as it will determine the Nationals Team Showcase Champion.
