CFTiWood Skis innovative Design/Engineering/Architecture The skis are designed on forces involved during skiing and they are inspired by nature, precisely to swallows. They are also reduce to essential to be lighter and faster. The main study is about the energy involved into the ski during a turn. It isn’t equal for both the skis and it isn’t also symmetrical into the same ski. The energy comes from the inside blade of the downstream ski to the outside. It follows a precise trajectory based three elements: pressu- re, turn radius and ski flexibility. The ski is designed to be more stiffness where necessary. The skis materials are an obvious choice to give them flexibility, lightweight and an interesting texturized surfa- ce. Every material involved to built them are light, stiff and selected for them matt finish. Carbon forged is a syno- nymous about technology and it is used thanks to its fast and cheap building process and ready surface after moul- ding. Titanium is used because it is water resistant and 45% lighter than stainless steel. Apricot wood is involved to its resistance. It is a light and com- pact wood used since the ancients to make inlays. It’s color is pale yellow with dark veins with a smooth surface.s unused places. The Playing card chair come from the idea of creating an object that was easy to move used in situations where space is precious, like a yacht or a race sailboat. The shape is inspired by playing cards and the chair has rounded corners for better movement and a maximum thickness of 6mm. The material, forged carbon �ber, is an obvious choice for lightness and rigidity. I choose it for its attractive aestethic properties associated with this new technology. It is used into industrial processes like those to built the windows of the new Boeing Airbus A380. It is more sustainable and environmental friendly. Under the light it shows a nice play of re�ections. On a race sailboat like an Open 60, a Farr or an Imoca, everything is thought to be lightweight and easy to store and clean. These boats could have up to 10 people crew so it means that all the chairs will deal only 6cm. With its large front base this chair is stable and thanks to its design it is funny and familiar all over the world.

One of the most interesting projects is, with engineer Massimo Giovannelli, a project of a solar racing car for long distances. The project started with an aerodynamic shape optimized to reduce friction, the study is very similar to the construc-tion of tower buildings, and we analyzed and designed all the mechanical and electronic components.

This experience, only on paper, was an invaluable oppor-tunity to learn a method of design, which had as a main objective the reduction of consumption, and was an opportunity to understand how any "machine" is the result of a mix of technologies that must be able to move all the parts together. My experiences have made me more interested in the environmental aspect of things.

CFWood table is a table made in Carbon �ber and wood.The plan is 4m long and 1m wide. It is very light and built with a 3k 220 gr twill carbon �ber tissue.It’s thickness is 1 cm only. It is built with a modular 80kg/sqm core made on our own design. t is infused in order to have a controlled ration between weted �bers and resin and a perfect A class surface �nish.

The legs are made from entire wood pieces. They are worked with a Computer Numerical Control machine. It permits to have pieces with unique veins but with the same shape.
