Features & Benefits

Inspect by viewing images from areas

Invisible to naked eye

Cavities difficult to access may be easily

and accurately observed

Can be inspected During Normal Downtime

Rigid Borescope - Dimensions

Wide range of Diameters & Lengths

1.6 mm to 10 mm Diameter

50 mm to 1500 mm Length

Page 8: Industrial Endoscopes

Choosing A Borescope

Choose by physical Trials with the Component

Choose Diameter, Length, Viewing Angle & Field of View for

Optimum Selection.

Borescope must allow "wiggle room” inside the hole

Too Small Dia may not give Sufficient Area of Coverage

Page 9: Industrial Endoscopes

Choosing A Borescope

Diameter: 3.3 mm Borescope will be optimum for 5 mm Bore but

may not be optimum for a 12 mm bore where 8 mm will be

optimum

Length: Choose a Borescope to penetrate to the greatest depth

required, but not so long as to be unwieldy outside the hole

Direction-of-View (DOV)

Page 12: Industrial Endoscopes

Direction-of-View (DOV)

Object straight ahead - 0° DOV might be Best

Object very close to the entry port (Engine Valves near a

spark plug hole) a backward-looking 120° Borescope might

be Best

When examining a bore, like a rifle barrel, a 90° DOV will

be perfect.

MAGNIFICATION- 2

Very large Depth of Field — From infinity down to an inch or less

Makes them easy to use without constant

Aircrafts - Endoscopic Visual Inspection

Endoscopic inspection shortens aircraft down-times and safely detects any necessary servicing procedures.

Commercial industial endoscope sets suitable for all common engines used worldwide.

The United States Air Force has Qualified and Approved the TechnoPack X Videoscope System for Borescope Inspections, including measurement.

POWER, PETROCHEMICAL AND PLANT MAINTENANCE

Endoscopic systems make it possible to see inside turbines, Pipelines, rotating equipment, Pumps, condenser tubes, heat exchangers, confined spaces, feedwater heaters, boilers, headers, valves, pressure vessels and other difficult to see areas.

Checking for pitting, cracking, corrosion, erosion, weld and other defects

Endoscopic Visual Inspection of Vehicles

Manufacturing - water test - engine build - HVAC · Engine - valve damage, cylinder inspection, head gaskets

and piston top · Transmission and Differential - ring, bevel gear inspection

- seals and shaft bearing inspection · Clutch - condition and thickness of lining - condition of

springs of pressure plate and thrust bearing · Body and Chassis - inspection of hollow members to

detect damage cracks and corrosion · Miscellaneous - fuel tank inspection - manifold inspection -

HVAC forensic evaluation

CCD - What is it ?

Used in what are known as CCD camera

Special Piece of Silicon Called a Charge Coupled Device

or CCD

This silicon wafer is a solid-state electronic component, which

has been micro-manufactured and segmented into an array of

individual light-sensitive cells called "photosites."

Each photosite is one element of the whole picture that is

formed, thus it is called a picture element, or "pixel."
